I was busy making lunch and had just started to peel the eggs for the macaroni salad. Snow White came up to me and put her my side (her way of waiting politely).
I knelt down and asked her what she wanted. “Can I peel the eggs?”
I was about to say “No”… I was in a bit of a hurry and I had never introduced this Practical Life activity to her, but I am glad I took the time to show her because after showing her how to do one she proceeded to finish the entire bowl!
Why would I be surprised?
It never ceases to amaze me what our children are capable of when we just give them the chance!

The other night my daughter brought her step stool up to the sink where I was fixing dinner and announced that she wanted to help. I showed her how to snap green beans and she did great. Reading this post made me realize how much learning/teaching we do every day without even realizing it.
