Since so many of you lovely readers asked to see more pictures of my classroom, I figured I would give you a little peak of our classroom for Monday’s Montessori Moment! You will notice that some materials on the shelf are not quite where they should be – these pictures were taken at the end of a work period with 1 child still in the room
And then we have our Culture area (we are having some new shelving made- this works for now).
We also have this shelf which expands our culture/science area
and here is a work table (On the work table is a frog activity that was new to the shelves this week. I’ll post about that soon too!) We also have our nature table- the “When I make Silence” book is always in a basket on the nature table for the quiet activity!
and a little Art area and Library. (You will notice some pink material cards on the easel – Snow White was copying the words on the chalkboard!)
and we also have a small place to enjoy some music (and a picture of our red rods and pink tower)
As you know, I have had the classroom upstairs in our sun room as it is so much brighter and beautiful, but with the addition of materials, we had to move down stairs to have more space!

It is fun to see other people's spaces. Thanks for sharing.
Our cheater chopsticks are from Montessori Services. We've also gotten them from Montessori-n-Such.
Jody!! SO BEAUTIFUL!! I love you're Classroom!!! Thanks for your quick response!! I bet your girls just don't want to get out there!!!
Thanks for share!!
I agree, I love to see other people's spaces.
We have five boys and are looking into homeschooling them this fall. I am scared to say the least. Two of them are school age (3rd and 6th). Our twins are preschool age.
I would love to learn more about your curriculum.
You have a lot of materials. Where do you purcahse your boards and games and learning materials?
Great room! Thanks so much for sharing these pictures!!
*hugs*

Wow
Thank you for sharing! Are the shelves homemade or purchased somewhere…and if so, where?
Looks great!
Thanks so much for all the lovely comments!
My Boys' Teacher, My husband and I made the shelves. They are not stained, just sanded and left in their natural state. We made them because we could not find any shelves that were 4 shelves high. We needed them low enough, but needed 4 shelves so that we could hold more materials in our small space.

Love your classroom! It is so nice to get ideas from others.
Where do you buy your materials? What Montessori curriculum do you use?
It was really fun seeing your classroom space. What I would not give for that much space to devote to the learning room.
Our learning room is also our living room, eating area, office, etc. It is pretty small and often feels crowded. I am trying to learn how to organize better to make the most of our space.
Blessings

I'm sorry I'm linking up today, I couldn't do it earlier. Sorry.
Thanks so much for linking this article at Home Grown Families Back to School Check-up.
I really enjoyed seeing your space! I am looking into what EXACTLY Montessori is and how to apply it to our situation but Melissa already knows all about it and uses it with her youngins.
I can't wait to see next week!
Thanks again,
Tiffany
your shelves are so perfect! I really need shelves and I'd love to build a bookcase similar to yours shown.
