Hard to believe it’s only been a year since Mommy Moment was created. I remember sitting at computer making a list of things that I wanted Mommy Moment to be. It was pretty clear that I wanted Mommy Moment to be a place where moms could come for a moment to be inspired.
I learned so much in my first year.
- I learned how to connect with my readers using other media outlets such as Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn & more.
- I learned how to make a media kit and connect with brands.
- I learned how to create a balance between content & giveaway posts.
- I’ve learned about page rank, alexa, seo, basic HTML codes and other blog lingo that used to be foreign to me.
- I learned to forgive myself when I made a mistake and use it as a learning experience.
- I learned that blogging is so much more than just writing a post, it’s about building relationships and networks.
Truth be told, I had no idea how quickly Mommy Moment would grow and even more shocking how much the Mommy Moment readers would inspire me. It’s been a great year.
Since a year has passed by I decided it was a good time to once again make some goals for Mommy Moment for our 2nd year. I could make a long list, but instead here are 2 goals that I have decided to focus on.
- I want to connect & engage more with all my readers.
- Stand out as a Canadian Mom blogger.
One action plan I have is to attend at BlissDom Canada. Attending a 3 day event like this would be a great way for me to learn, connect and network with many other mom bloggers from all across North America. I want make friendships and have fun! And most importantly I want to learn how to creatively meet my goals and establish Mommy Moment to really be the place where moms can come for a moment to be inspired. I want to give back to my readers and bless them!
