The #kidsCBC Tweet up!

On Wednesday morning I did something I have never done before. I jumped on a plane, to attend the KidsCBC Tweet-up. I have never flown without my husband, so this was a new adventure for me.

Once my plane landed I took the shuttle to my hotel and enjoyed this view from my window.

In the afternoon I met @commoncentsmom in the lobby of the hotel and she showed me a few sites from the beautiful city.

In the evening I had the chance to meet 2 amazing women @myweeview and @MyChaos. We had a great time of laughing and getting to know eachother. The mini eggs were bonus!

The next morning while waiting to head over to the CBC building I got to meet the darling @shasherslife, what a doll! Before I knew it i was in the midst of a harem of social media queens.

A bunch of us got to attend the taping of Steven and Chris. How cool is it that their guest on the show, famous from her role in The Biggest Loser, was Jillian Micheals! We even got to take home a copy of new book, Unlimited – How to build an exceptional life. I’ve just started reading the book and already love it. Many of you know that I have a huge passion for helping women realize their beauty, and Jillian’s book really puts an emphasis on women learning to love themselves! I also loved the segments on making fish recipes that the whole family would love. The salmon burgers would be a hit with my girls, I can’t wait to make them! Oh, the garden segment was really interesting too, I can’t wait to make my ‘salad bowl’. Check it out & catch us on the show next Thursday,  April 14th at 2Pm EST.

We had a bite to eat before the tweet-up began. The food was fabulous! I could not believe the amazing cake…It was gorgeous!

The #kidsCBC Tweet up was a blast, I  learned a lot. I was so impressed to find out that @kidsCBC really cares about what parents think. They reply when parents e-mail them…personally! Kids CBC has many new and exciting things coming up including some new programs that as a parent I look forward to. I could not wait to come home and tell my husband what impressed me the most…Kids CBC has a Child Development Psychologist on staff! That impresses me!

I also have to give a huge should out to the extremely talented @AliEisner the puppeteer behind MammaYamma on CBC. She made a personal video for my girls. She made videos for so many of us and her energy level remained the same from the first to the last!

Steven and Chris even made an entrance at the Tweet-up for an interview with Mamma Yamma and to serve us some tasty Mocktails! I’m pretty pumped about this next photo….

After the tweet-up a few of us got to meet the one and only George Stroumboulopoulos. We could not stay for the whole taping because we had flights to catch, but I’m pumped that we had a fun photo op!

I had such a fabulous time and want @kidsCBC to know that this is an event I will remember for the rest of my life. Thanks for caring about what parents think and giving me the opportunity to attend this fab event!

Here are some more thumbnail pics from my time in Toronto…enjoy! Be sure to check out the hashtag #kidsCBC on Twitter to follow all the wonderful woman who attended and hear more about this great event!
