Carl's life

Can you relate? When exhaustion sets in

  1. I wish! I can hardly be in there with the door closed, but I can relate to wanting that.:)

  2. Buhauhaua! That Momma looks so happy! I might just have to try that, hehe! πŸ˜€ @VectoringMomma

  3. Oh yes. I love to play Scrabble (on Facebook) with a dear old friend, and the only place I get to do it is in the bathroom. I sneak away, pretend I’m going in there for a good reason, and I play my word.

The things we do for a moment’s peace, right? πŸ˜‰

  4. Ohhh that’s a great idea! Never thought of that! Ha ha ha! That is cute thanks for sharing!

  5. Jenn,
Do you think you will try it sometime? You’ll have to hide a pillow in the linen closet for secret getaways!

  6. totally relate, I hide in the bathroom when I just need some quiet or to be alone!

  7. so that’s why it takes you so long to “do your hair”

  8. I’ve done this. >< Actually, I've intentionally taken a shower before just so I could pass out in there for a mini-nap (whether actually in the shower or not). I make sure the kids are being watched so I don't have to try to listen to what's going on outside the door, and if I'm actually in the shower, I wake up when the water turns cold.

  9. This is me three years ago when the twins were new. Although, it may have happened involuntarily. At least that’s my story.

  10. I love that. I need to try that sometime.

  11. That is so funny and true.

  12. When the Hubby is home, I tend to sneak in a lot of naps when I can. Luckily my kids are very understanding when I am exhausted and usually just cuddle up on the couch with me and watch a movie while I sneak in a cat nap on the couch. I would so do this if I had too, without any hesitation!

  13. This is so funny…reminds me of my childhood. I’m one of four children (I’m 25 now). We used to talk to my mom through the bathroom door all the time and she finally reached a point where she had had it! She made a rule that no one was to speak to her while she was in there, and she’d take a book or magazine and stay there for 15, 20, sometimes up to 30 min. Now that I’m a mom, I say it’s not a bad idea!!!

  14. Well its one room in the house that people usually won’t bother you. lol

  15. A few times I have gone into my bedroom through the bathroom and laid down in bed and then heard my kids asking my husband where I was. He said he thought I was in the bathroom…I fell asleep without correcting their assumption πŸ˜€

  16. haha awesome.. I feel like doing that sometimes!

  17. Elva Roberts says:

August 22-I could realate to this cartoon. When the baby is up half the night, Or seems so, any spot will do for a ‘Quick’ nap. Really apropro!

  18. Haha yes!!

  19. Teresa Claire says:

I love naps…this is a cute one! I didn’t realize that this was part of your blog and I am glad that I found it!

  20. That’s hilarious, I can totally relate! Naps are my favorite, but a little hard to find time for those luxuries lately!

  21. angie andrews says:

I totally feel like doing this.

  22. HaHa! Now there is an idea! But that wouldn’t work either, they talk right through the door!

  23. Jaime Brown says:

That is so funny:) Why didn’t I think of this when my girls were little, thank you I so needed to laugh today:)

  24. I remember locking myself in the bathroom for just a few momments of peace. Until the kids started banging at the door. lol

  25. yemi akinola says:

So very funny! I wish i could have those times!

  26. kathy downey says:

I will sleep anywhere, anytime when my kids where small….nurse had to wake me one day at the…so ashamed…I wonder was I snoring

  27. Elva Roberts says:

I love this cartoon. My husband farmed so was gone from early morning until late at night. I would probably have tried this if I had anyone to look after my little ones. They are adults now and I may sleep in if I so desire. I remember the tiredness but lived to talk about it. Still, this cartoon shows what we would have loved to do once in a while.

  28. Ha! This is very funny
