Mommy Moment:

I must admit that I love children’s books. At last count I had about 300. I have the books sorted by different themes and like to keep 40 -50 out at any given time. I was so excited when the Tidy Box arrived. It was the prefect storage solution for all those books I have out. I immediately knew how I was going to use it. I set it up in our living room and put a variety of French books on one side and English books on the other side.

I love that the books are so beautifully displayed and that my girls can spot exactly which book they want to read without having to pull all the books out.
I am also impressed with the quality of the Tidy Books Box and know that it will last many years. Since the play clock is removable it would be nice to use for magazines or daddy’s newspapers when our girls grow up. I love products that can grow with my family!

Kids Moment:

The Tidy Books Box is very functional and even though my girls have not said much about it, they use it every single day. I’ll often catch one on the girls cuddled beside the Tidy Books Box or sitting in their kids chair browsing the selection of books. They even put the books back when they are finished looking at them ~ I suppose it is just easy and fun to do.

Company Moment:

The Tidy BooksStory®, by Geraldine, Tidy Books Company Founder

Originally from Paris, I moved to train at the renowned Newark School of Violin Making, and then worked at the Royal Academy of Music.  After which, I set up my own business making violins, violas and cellos for professional musicians.

Traditional bookcases (decorated or not) for children simply made no sense to me.  Adele’s books, like most children’s books were outsize, differently shaped and hard to keep tidy.  As you know, children don’t choose books from the spine but from the cover, and when a child takes a book from a traditional bookcase, the rest collapse.

The idea of a “Tidy Books” bookcase was compelling, so in my spare time, I began designing a new book storage system in my violin workshop.  I created the first “Tidy Books” bookcases for myself and friends, who loved them, and so the Tidy Books business was born.

My 3 year old son has a ton of books from grandma and no where to store them except his dresser drawers :) I would absolutely love one of these! I could definitely see these in the children's books section of barnes and nobles

My favorite store for my children is Once Upon A Child in Georgia. They have a good system for people to give their gently used items to the store and sell everything at affordable prices. For me with three young girls it's the perfect store for my budget.
