Dell Cares

Dell CAP Canada : Mommy MomentAs many of you know, I was in Toronto this last week for Dell CAP Canada.

Dell Canada flew me down to Toronto for a day of listening, collaboration and discussion. I enjoyed my beautiful accommodations at  One King West. The morning view was breathtaking from the 41st floor. Thank-you Dell Canada!

One King West : Mommy MomentThere were about 30 people in attendance. I did not know what to expect, but I have to say that I was thrilled that I had the opportunity to share my views openly. I was pretty excited that the seating arrangement had me sitting right next to the moderator of the event @MarkEvans and truthfully impressed that he knew quite a bit about me and this blog of mine… I was giddy that I had the opportunity to share my views during the Social Media session. The entire discussion was live, you can see some of my opinions shared in this segment below.

We have owned Dell products in the past and truthfully I had some issues with both the customer service Dell provided and battery life of the laptop we purchased. After voicing my concerns and listening to the concerns of others I can honestly tell you that Dell does care what the consumer has to say. In fact, if you ever have issues and want to contact Dell, @DellCares is there to help. The event did not feel like a marketing pitch, but rather a genuine concern for what Dell could do better as a company. I personally look forward to seeing how Dell uses the feedback from the event to improve!

I personally loved that Dell brought in Think Link Graphics to the event. It was great to see our ideas/sugguestionsconcerns be brought to life in front of us.

The event ended with a cocktail party in the VAULT.

Dell : Mommy MomentI enjoyed the many conversations with the corporate executives, and all the attendees. Talking about social media with brands and seeing the light bulb come on is something that always makes me smile!

Girl, you must be getting exhausted. Hope that dental pain has lessened.

Thanks Pam. The dental pain is still there, but it is somewhat manageable at this point. I leave on Thursday for Old Montreal with Van Houtte coffee. After that there will be lots of time to relax and enjoy the season...I can't wait to start decorating for Christmas!
