Guidecraft Sort and Match sets {arv $85} #giveaway

Each month one of the Guidecraft educator bloggers hosts a giveaway, this month it’s my turn.

Guidecraft Educators : Mommy Moment This month 1 lucky winner will win 2 great Guidecraft products, the Animal Train Sort and Match (arv $45) and the Flower Match Garden Patch (arv $40).

The Animal Train Sort and Match

An award-winning educational tool for teaching color-matching, shape-matching and pattern-recognition in a fun, game-like setting. Animal Train Sort and Match includes six double-sided pattern cards, 43 animal and train pieces, a wooden storage case, and a self-propping board with pegs and metal backing to help guide the parts into place. AGES 3+.

Animal Train Sort and Match

The Flower Match Garden Patch

Kids will love playing in our garden as they match up flower petals and stems using the easy to follow laminated pattern guides! Self-propping board with pegs and Velcro elements hold their selections securely in place as they follow the patterns or crate their own flowers! Comes in attractive wood storage case that doubles as the game board/ play area. AGES 3+.

Flower Match Garden Patch : Mommy Moment

I am a believer that children learn best through play. In fact I am bold enough to say that a child’s play is their work. When children play they developing many life skills. Toys like these sort and match ones from Guidecraft helps children learn to recognize shapes, colors, memory and hand-eye coordination.

Although these specific toys are geared for ages 3+ I find that they can actually be used for many years. When I invest in a product I like to see how many different uses it has as well as if it can work past the intended age. While a 3 year old may be able to match the objects to the pictures, a 6 year old could use the objects as stencils to trace or can try to draw and color what they see on the cards.

One of our favorite activities right now with the Flower Match Garden Patch is playing the “Show Me” game. “Show me the large flower” or “show me the small flower” can be simple, but practicing asking “Show me the large pink flower” or “Show me the small blue flower” adds a new challenge to this fun learning game.

I love the quality of these Guidecraft Sort and Match sets. They are well made and are functional because they come in a beautiful storage box that can double up as a display/work area for the child.

Giveaway Moment:

One reader is going to win the Animal Train Sort and Match and the Flower Match Garden Patch {Combined arv $85}

Open to US and Canadian Residents (excluding Quebec).
