Schick® Xtreme3® Eco™ makes it easy to get a handle on going green #Giveaway

Everyone knows that Schick gives a smooth close shave that we all can appreciate.  However I am not hear to chat about how they shave, but rather what they are doing behind the scenes to make this a better world with their new razor.  The Schick Xtreme3 Eco is just as good as their other Schick razors except this one is made from 100% recycled plastic.

It is a known fact that everyone is trying to make less of an “environmental foot print” in this world today.  Many of us are recycling, using less and trying to be more environmentally friendly thought the choices we make.  So why can’t companies like Schick be the same.  And they are starting with the Xtreme3 Eco.  The story starts with the handle of this razor.  First it starts out as a hanger, tray or pail.  These are typical products that we don’t commonly think about recycling.  They are then melted down and re purposed into the handle for this product.  I am quite sure that the process is not as simple as I just explained, however this youtube video will explain in further detail this process.

Along with the handle of this new razor, they have also made strides in making less packaging for this new product.  The wrapper itself is made from 100% post-consumer recycled paper.  Even the tray inside the packaging is made from cardboard.  What other company is doing this? Schick is really trying to make a difference.  They are already calculated that the recycling effort will save enough plastic each year to scale the CN Tower more than 715 times.

The new Extreme3 Eco comes in both men’s and ladies and has a flexible 3 blade head with both Aloe and Vitamin E.   However I would recommend this product more for the efforts of Schick and the environmental responsibility that they are taking.  Good for you Schick.
