Chicken Soup for the Soul ~ Here Comes The Bride #giveaway {3 Winners}

One of the most important days in a woman’s life is the day she walks down the aisle and says “I Do!” to the man of her dreams.

Chicken Soup for the Soul ~ Here Comes the Bride explores all the romantic, fun, trip ups and stories that happen along the way.

You will be inspired and entertained by this collection of stories from brides and their friends and families, about all the aspects of being a bride, from proposal to honeymoon.  These stories will make you laugh, entertain you, inspire you, and occasionally make you tear up.

I am always one who LOVES to hear birth and proposal stories.  So of course I really enjoyed reading the proposal chapters in this book.  I love hearing how different each individual’s story is.

As a bride plans and plans (and plans!) her wedding, she makes sure everything is in place and nothing will go wrong.  I should know – I was that bride.  Of course even with all the well thought through planning and re-planning that I did, there were still a couple of things that didn’t go as planned.  But me and my hubby got married and those are not the things I remember of our day.  I’m not the only bride that has had things go wrong.  The chapter in the book called Marital Mishaps tells stories of couples who’s big day did not go as planned – but they made the best of the situation and got married and re-live those memories with fondness.

For some reason the most memorable part of our wedding was taking off for pictures in our fancy duds in the Volkswagon Van. It was so funny.

One of my fave wedding moments was at my fiancé's good friend's wedding, which was basically like a house party in formalwear. They had an an open bar, stocked by the family, and every five minutes, the groom would get on the mic ordering his guests to drink because the alcohol was the most expensive part! And then the groom led all of the wedding games, which was hilarious seeing as he was not the most sober person at the event. It was such a fun night!
