Thanks Coleman for making our backyard bonfires a blast! #Giveaway

Growing up some of my fondest memories come from camping. We did not camp often, but I sure loved the memories made when we did go. Camping is a tradition that I want to create with my children, however we all know that camping with children has its share of challenges. Being prepared while camping is key. We always make sure to over-pack rather than under-pack. There are several products out there that can make camping fun and exciting for children.

I loved the evenings while we camped. The first thing that had to be done after the sun went to sleep was roasting marshmallows. Today we have upped the ante and have evolved to making S’mores. This is sure a treat for our kids as I never had them growing up.  S’mores can be a bit of a mess to make, however technology has come to the rescue with Coleman and their S’more maker! An ingenious design where there is a “cage” is made that fits the graham cracker, marshmallow and chocolate perfectly. They are held together over a fire and everything gets melted and roasted perfectly. My girls love having these over a fire.

Another comfort of home that we love is popcorn. Our girls love popcorn and it is also a healthy snack for kids and a perfect camping accompaniment that requires little cleanup. Making popcorn at the camp ground can pose a challenge…unless you have a popcorn popper that can be used over a fire. Coleman’s popcorn popper makes 2 quarts at a time and is simple to operate. Simply place kernels in the popper, place over fire and enjoy. Quick, simple and easy for any campsite…or back yard fire.

And of course when it’s time to go to bed, the sun is gone and the fire is out… it is dark. No lights can make getting into the tent and ready for bed interesting. The Coleman LED Mini-Quad Lantern is there for bed time also. This lantern provides 360 degree illumination. However thanks to 4 detachable lights you can take your little light anywhere. The individual lights have a clip, hook and magnetic backing that our children love, because they can take it anywhere and they have ownership of their own lights. There is even plates you can place over the lights to give them color. Great for getting the tent ready for the night. Our girls do not like to be in the dark, so this has been awesome to have!

Our girls love camping and having these awesome products to help in our trips are lifesavers. It makes it more comfortable for them and they enjoy the experience more. I would encourage you to take your children camping or treat them to a fire in the backyard. This will start the process of them learning about the world we live in!

Now that the kids are back-to-school, we need to make sure we have family time. Sitting around a bonfire is a great family activity.
