Dr. Julie Silver of Harvard Medical School has contributed to the new Chicken Soup for the Soul book entitled “Hope & Healing for Your Breast Cancer Journey” with tips for surviving and thriving during and after your diagnosis and treatment.
I have not been affected by breast cancer, however, I have been affected by other types of cancers. Having a book dedicated to breast cancer patients or their loved ones would be a real support. Reading stories from women who have already been there and having stories of hope is a great help I would imagine.
First you cry. And then you get busy — assembling your team, exploring your options, doing your research, and getting you family, home, and work ready for your new reality.
Read stories from women just like you who tell you how they did it. Read Dr. Silver’s cutting-edge medical advice for your treatment and for your recovery. Survive and thrive with tips and emotional support about: navigating through the diagnosis, practical to stay positive during and after treatment, healing yourself physically & emotionally and more!
Reading through this book, I was really impressed with the practical side of things. I really liked the Practical Things You Can Do To Reduce Stress and Improve Your Mood section in the book. These great tips are not only for those suffering from breast cancer, or another type of cancer but also those that want to improve their overall health.
