Being a mom is the toughest job in the world!
You are responsible for this little human being who is 100% dependent on you.
I don’t think anyone truly knows how tough the job description of a mom is until they hear the first heartbeat, actually feel that first little kick, or hold their baby in their arms for the first time. I always knew that being a mom was a HUGE responsibility, but didn’t really know how tough it was until I became a mom myself.
Playtex Mommyville wants to celebrate moms in a way that rewards them for all their hard work with the Mom of the Month Program.
The Mom of the Month program from Playtex Mommyville, celebrates the real life experiences and knowledge that only mothers have.
If you are a fellow mom, you know the moment something is happening with your child, you race to call your best friend or put a shout out on Facebook for advice. You know that in all the knowledge between you and your mom friends someone, somewhere, has gone through the same predicament and has a cure or piece of advice for you.
Each month, through 2013, Playtex Mommyville will showcase 1 Canadian mom and her words of advice and wisdom. Through this program, Playtex Mommyville hopes to encourage conversation and learning.
The Mommyville Facebook page will periodically ask you as moms to answer a set of questions for your chance to be featured as the Playtex Mom of the Month. As moms, we all having something that we can share with other mothers out there. Share what you have experienced and know by answering the 3 questions. These questions cover a variety of topics, such as “How do you keep track of your baby’s firsts and important milestones?”. Playtex Mommyville would also like to learn more about you through photos, so upload a photo of yourself (or with your family).
One Mom each month to be featured on the following month’s cover photo and on Mommyville.ca!
It could be YOU!

Time is precious. Love and cherish your baby.
I would encourage a new Mom to relax and try to go with the flow. Don’t get worried over every little thing.
take time for yourself!
Stop obsessing about things like keeping your house clean…just enjoy spending every moment you can with your little one, there’ll be time to tidy when they’re teenagers. And ignore the naysayers… listen to your instincts, what worked for someone else won’t necessarily work for your child.
Advice I’d give to a first time mom…if you have family showing up to help out, don’t be afraid to tell them what to do. I’ve found that keeping quiet typically means the visitors will be more than happy to take the little one and occupy them…while you’re stuck cleaning house or cooking a meal for the visitor. It’s your child, YOU should have as much time as you want to bond with them.
relax. as hard as it is now, they don’t stay little for long and before you know it they will be grown, so just relax and enjoy it
To enjoy your baby and try to relax and not overwhelm yourself that everything will come naturally and you will be a pro in no time
Enjoy every minute because they grow up too quick
