With the gift of a new laptop from my husband for Christmas, I was in need of a new mouse to go along with it. Since I didn’t know I was getting a laptop in advance, I was glad that I had already received the Microsoft Sculpt Touch Mouse to review.
The Microsoft Sculpt Touch Mouse has many great features.
• 4-way touch scrolling for navigating up, down, left and right
• Designed for comfort and portability
• Works on virtually any surface with BlueTrack Technology
• Wireless Bluetooth connectivity – no transceiver required
• Works with many Android™ tablets
• 3 customizable buttons for more control
The first step is connecting the mouse to your machine. Since the mouse works off of wireless Bluetooth® connectivity, there is no need to worry about dongles. Because there are no dongles, the Sculpt Touch Mouse is a clutter-free way to stay productive while you are on-the-go.
With my husband at work and me wanting to try out this mouse, I decided to try and connect it to my laptop on my own. After putting in the batteries, turning the mouse on, it connected to my computer instantly and it was ready to use! No downloading of programs, no long install times, just instant-ready-to-use technology.
The Sculpt Touch Mouse has a 4 way touch strip that allows you to scroll through windows and documents easily with just the swipe of your finger. While you are scrolling up, down and even sideways on your mouse, you will feel the tactical feedback – as if you were using a mouse with a ball. The Sculpt Touch Mouse is powerful addition to Windows 8, by navigating quickly and smoothly around the Start Screen.
This mouse fits perfectly in my hand and makes it easy to work productively with. The unique scroll bar took a little getting used to, but now that I have used the mouse for a while, it would be hard to go back to a regular mouse with normal scrolling.
