I made a Green Smoothie, and I liked it!
It’s a new year. A time when people make resolutions.
I admit, I am one of those people. I have always been one to make resolutions, yet never keep them.
This year I decided to be relaxed about my resolutions. No work-out check lists, or crash diets.
Instead I decided to make a goal to try my best at this thing called life. Exercise and eating right are things that I know are good for me, so I will do my best at it and that’s all.
Here is a Green Smoothie Recipe I enjoy for breakfast some mornings.
Easy Green Smoothie Recipe
Author: Jody Arsenault, Mommy Moment
Recipe type: Juices/Smoothies
An easy to make green smoothie recipe, great for breakfast or an afternoon pick me up. I make mine in a Magic Bullet.
Ingredients
- 1 large cucumber (or 2 small)
- 1 green apple
- red grapes
- spinach
- water (a few TBSP)
Instructions
- Wash fruits and vegetables.
- Peel cucumber and apple (unless they are organic).
- Cut cucumber and apple into cubes.
- Place all ingredients in Magic Bullet add just enough water to blend, I added a TBSP at a time, just till the Magic Bullet would blend. (Note: I also put the spinach in close to the bottom so it would be near the blades).
- Pour into glass, grab a straw and enjoy.

Ooooh I may have to try this!
Natalie, I was shocked that I actually liked it. I can’t wait to experiment and make a bunch of different smoothies and juices….Yummy!
That sounds pretty delicious =) I may have to try that out with my new blender
What an interesting list of ingredients and flavor combos! I’ll have to try this out when I’m feeling adventurous.
Wow, I will try this . Its healthy and looks so tasty as well plus I love all the main ingredients. Thanks for sharing this!
You’ll have to let me know what you think! I really was surprised
I love smoothies! I may have to try this, it does look yummy!
I’ve heard of these, but never knew hot to make them. Thanks for the recipe!
I had always heard of them too…I thought I should give it a try so I looked what I had in my fridge and decided it could not hurt to try…I was impressed!
We got a new blender for Christmas, so I need to start back making green smoothies. Thanks for the recipe!
Do you have any favorite green smoothies? I need to make a collection of them to try
I definitely need to try this~ Thanks for sharing!
FYI – I did not like this smoothie. It made feel icky and I didn’t like it. Maybe if it had a banana in it, it would have tasted much better.
I’ll have to try it with a banana too, although I think then I would take out the grapes. I can’t wait to try a bunch of new recipes…I’ll share some recipes I come up with as I go, as I’m sure not everyone will like every recipe! I made one recipe with zucchini and beets and some other stuff and it was NOT for me, so I didn’t blog about it. Trial and error I suppose!
