Easy Green Smoothie Recipe

I made a Green Smoothie, and I liked it!

It’s a new year. A time when people make resolutions.

I admit, I am one of those people. I have always been one to make resolutions, yet never keep them.

This year I decided to be relaxed about my resolutions. No work-out check lists, or crash diets.

Instead I decided to make a goal to try my best at this thing called life. Exercise and eating right are things that I know are good for me, so I will do my best at it and that’s all.

Here is a Green Smoothie Recipe I enjoy for breakfast some mornings.

An easy to make green smoothie recipe, great for breakfast or an afternoon pick me up. I make mine in a Magic Bullet.
Ingredients
  • 1 large cucumber (or 2 small)
  • 1 green apple
  • red grapes
  • spinach
  • water (a few TBSP)

Instructions
  1. Wash fruits and vegetables.
  2. Peel cucumber and apple (unless they are organic).
  3. Cut cucumber and apple into cubes.
  4. Place all ingredients in Magic Bullet add just enough water to blend, I added a TBSP at a time, just till the Magic Bullet would blend. (Note: I also put the spinach in close to the bottom so it would be near the blades).
  5. Pour into glass, grab a straw and enjoy.

FYI – I did not like this smoothie. It made feel icky and I didn’t like it. Maybe if it had a banana in it, it would have tasted much better.

I’ll have to try it with a banana too, although I think then I would take out the grapes. I can’t wait to try a bunch of new recipes…I’ll share some recipes I come up with as I go, as I’m sure not everyone will like every recipe! I made one recipe with zucchini and beets and some other stuff and it was NOT for me, so I didn’t blog about it. Trial and error I suppose!
