A few years back, my hubby would write sweet little things for me and post them up. I remember waking up and finding heart shaped post it notes in random places around the house. I was reminded of that when I saw this DIY dry erase board. I loved the idea and knew right away that I had to make one for our house.
You just need a few things for this super cute project.
- The perfect frame (I used an 8×10 I got at the dollar store)
- Embellishments
- Light colored paper
- Glue gun
- Printer
- Dry erase marker
I fiddled around with illustrator for a bit to get the wording placed just right on the page. Once I was happy with it, I printed it out and popped it into the picture frame.
I then took my embellishments (paper flowers) and hot glued them to the corner of the frame.
Voila! How easy was that?
Now all you do is write sweet sentiments for your significant other. I bet that it will make them feel like a million bucks.
If you would like to try this out at home, you can download a free PDF of the wording here.

I made a simple one like this for my husband months ago and it has been such a blessing for our marriage.
That is awesome. Amazing how something so small can be such a blessing!
I really love this idea! It’s so sweet and cute. We all need to remind our loved ones how much we love each other every day!
I love this idea, thank you!
Very cute! I followed your tips, and made a dry erase board of mine own. I got a cute black frame, some green striped scrapbook paper, and some pretty craft self-stick fabric buttons to decorate the frame with. Now, I have a very pretty dry erase board by my home’s front door!
Awesome Lauren!
I LOVE this! What an absolutely sweet idea! I think I’ll have to make something similar for my son’s bedroom door once he gets old enough to read.
Such a sweet idea. Pinned it.
