Only wash your hair 2 times per week. Makes for healthier hair!
If you don’t have time to wash your hair, baby powder works wonders for eliminating the oils
For curly hair I love using a leave in conditioner.
My hair is erratically wavy, so my best friend is my flat iron.
I always use an a silkening product, such as Chi Silk, Morracan Oil, etc to make my locks shiny and smooth!
My best tip is for curly hair, apply product fresh out of the shower when your hair is very wet, your hair soaks up the product and your hair will air dry with lots of definition. Conversely, if you want to blowdry your curly hair straigtht, also do it from very wet…you’ll notice a difference in the shine and reduction in frizz.
Best, Lisa
towel dry your hair instead of using a hair dryer works for me
I too believe in only washing hair every few days even though I workout a lot. Hair gets damaged from over stripping natural oils, blow drying etc too often.
No tips because everyone’s hair is different but I can suggest if you use a flat iron buy a salon one so half your hair does not get pulled out.
I like to blowdry my hair upside down. When I flip my hair up it looks fuller.
I have found using an anti-frizz cream in my hair when it’s wet really helps to cut down on the frizz.
I have no tips but am enjoying reading everyone elses! Thanks
Wash your hair less in the winter – combats frizzies!
i blow dry my hair upside down to make it fuller
Use coconut pil as a deep mask, wash out and have healthy smooth hair.
blow drying my hair upside down give3s it more volume
I dry my hair about 2/4 way before I start styling and style with hot air and set with cold setting on dryer
I live in a rural area that has horrible water but when i stopped washing my hair daily it really helped my hair and scalp.
I wish I had a great tip but mostly I try and use good products and try to let my hair rest between colorings etc, just give it a break sometimes for a month or so
I have found that with my frizzy, curly hair it is best for me to apply leave-in conditioner a couple of times a day to keep my hair from “freaking out”. It works to keep my hair healthy as at a recent hair trim my stylist told me how healthy my mop is.
Leave in conditioner or anti-frizz product is a must for my 2 girls super curly hair!
I use hand lotion as a way to stop flyaways and control a bit of frizz
I use mouse in my hair before blow drying to give it a bit of body and keep it from flying away.
I too am a fan of anti frizz cream! Especially in the winter!
I always use split end spa by AG and my hairdresser always says that I have really healthy hair !
A couple of drops of Moroccan Oil works WONDERS.
Leave your conditioner in as long as you can while in the shower!
Having fine hair I love to dry my hair upside down for body.
I use a deep conditioner once a week to keep my hair shiny and full.
I wash my hair every second day. My hair is long and very thick (takes a long time to dry).
buy salon quality flat iron
Whenever possible buy salon blow dryers and hot irons. They work soooo much better and faster then the cheaper kinds.
Use conditioner every other day or ever 2 days, so it doesn’t weight down your hair.
i wash my hair one day..then style it the next..tames it more
Dont wash your hair every day… let the natural oils moisturize!
I use body shampoo and conditioner for fine hair and then put mouuse init before styling.
Not washing your hair every day makes for more styleable hair!
I’ve found having wavy hair if I want more curls the best way to obtain this is to apply product directly out of the shower and then scrunch repeatedly…blowdry and continue to scrunch!
I wash my hair 3 times a week . Its not as dry as when I did it every day.
ponytail
If my hair is extremely dry and looks damage, after I washed my hair, I put on air conditioner all over my hair and use plastic wrap to wrap over my hair for 30 minutes and then wash it off. I found that it helps to improve my hair
My hair styles better after the second day without washing. If I need to get a fancied up, I make sure I wash my hair the day before.
February 16-I notice that my hairstylist puts s holding gel in my hair after he rinses it and dries it a little. This helps to give volume and hold the ‘set’ after he blow dries and curls my hair. I do the same at home This seems to hold the ‘set’ longer.
Try not to blow your hair dry as it is drying to your hair. Towel dry it as much as you can. Gentle when brushing your hair and start from bottom working up to help get knots out.

Wash my hair every other day to avoid drying out my hair
Wash your hair every second day.
blow dry hair with head down for more volume
I first blow out my hair bending over to dry underneath my hair and it makes my hair look thicker.
Leave in Conditioner
I found a video on You Tube about dry washing your hair. You start by rubbing shampoo into your dry scalp. Basically giving your head a scalp massage. Then you add a little bit more to the rest of your dry hair, gently massaging it in. Then slowly add small amounts of water until your hair is all lathered up. I absolutely swear by this method and my hair is much healthier looking .
I give my hair a day off once a week. I use no hair styling tools or products . It makes a huge difference in my hair by giving it a rest
I only wash 2-3 times a week and use a dry shampoo in between. I find it helps make my hair more manageable. It lessens the amount of times I have to use a hair dryer a week and less oils are stripped out by washing frequently.
I am bald, so for myself, I’ve got nothing. But with my daughter’s hair, we use a spray, leave-in conditioner, to ease the burden of brushing the hair. Aparently, it’s torture.
Blowdrying your hair upside down adds the look of volume and if in a rush the pony-tail always works to hide hair in need!
Use conditioner at the ends of your hair where it is needed the most.
Cheers.
try not to blow it dry completely
curly hair = anti frizz serum right out of the shower!
It’s always better to towel dry than to blow dry.
I am pretty much a wash and go person. Wash, towel dry and brush a few times before it dries.
I keep my hair shoulder length and apply products right after my shower, makes the curl more defined.
I find an anti-fizz serum works really well on my curly hair especially in the summer with the humidity.
Don’t leave hot rollers in too long or you will look like bozo the clown (I know this from experience)
The comb-over
My secret is washing my hair every second or third day – keeps it from drying out!
style hair while it is partially wet

I Like To Towel dry my hair instead of using a hair dryer .
Thank you for having this giveaway!!!!!!!!
I have heard that rubbing in a small amount of coconut oil into your hair at night and washing out in the morning.
My best tip is to let your hair dry naturally rather than drying it out with a hair dryer. I leave my hair in a towel for about a half hour and then comb it out and it dries quickly since the towel has absorbed most of the water.
Use leave in conditioner at least once every 3-4 weeks. It really helps make my hair more manageable and repairs damage caused by styling tools.
if you’ve had your hair in a pony tail all day, and the band leaves that dreaded ‘dent’, use a straightening iron to get a fresh look for the evening without having to wash/wet your hair.
Only wash your hair every other day
thanks
Letting my hair airdry means less frizz and fewer split ends then when blowdrying
Would be lost without my ceramic hairbrush for volume
I use dry shampoo in my hair in between washes.
Deep conditioning every month really helps my hair and scalp
Blowdry with your head upside down to get more volume.
Use blow dryer on cool setting to be kinder to your hair.
Coconut Oil. leave hair feeling so silky yet not oily.
I use tooons of conditioner and leave some in even if it isn’t “leave in” conditioner!
A few years ago my wife convinced me to try some mousse in my hair and it really does keep my hair looking great all day, as I have fine hair and it used to go limp within an hour of leaving the house.
use good hairspray
I have very fine hair and find that Anti Frizz serum helps with all the wispy bits!
If you can help it, don’t wash your hair every single day, every 2nd day works good for me!
I like mousse while it is wet and let it dry naturally
My tip is to use a heat protection spray or cream, when using a curler or flat iron, thank you:)
I’ve been having problems with dry hair lately and I have found that putting a little olive oil in a cup and microwaving it for a little bit then putting it on my ends helps make it softer.
only use the blow dryer if absolutely necessary
Use a hair mask at least once a week for smoother and softer hair.
I have curly hair and just started following the Curly Girl method
Going to the hairdresser once a week…expensive but it works!
dry your hair upside down for more volume
Condition and don’t blow your hair dry everytime
use hair serum to prevent dry ends anf flyaways
Long story, short – My kids got lice, after two months, prescription ,internet solutions, pharmacy and health unit, which is who finally gave me this solution that works well, we finally started to get rid of it. Apparently her thick hair and the resilient lice made for a bad combo that we could NOT get rid of no matter how much we did laundry, no matter how long we tried. If anyone wants to know, it
is 50% vinegar, 50% mineral oil [thick], mix together like shampoo and apply, let sit and watch out.
Along the way we tried coconut oil and it made my daughter’s hair beautifully shiny and flowing. Wow – I’ve heard of using it on your hair before, but never thought it would work that well.
So, my tip : A little coconut oil in your hair before showering.
I put my long hair in a ponytail for bed to restrict tangles. I also go to my hairstylist for regular trims. Love doing a hair mask occassionally too!
i put a little leave in conditioner before i go to bed
When you’re combing your hair after washing it always start at the end of your hair to get the tangles out, never comb from your scalp down as it breaks your hair.
I dry my hair upside down to give it more volume.
My hair is long and straight. I get it trimmed when there’s a full moon.
I put some conditioner and water in an empty spray bottle to use if my hair has dried too much on it’s own before I style it. It keeps the frizzies away. It also works well as a detangler for my child’s hair.
Washing my hair every other day has helped keep the shine and frrizz.
I wash my hair every other day to help prevent it from drying out so much.
When my hair is dry and starting to go frizzy – I use a little (tiny) bit of moroccon oil in it. I don’t use it all the time as my hair is fine and I don’t always need it – but it seems to take away the frizz and leave my hair shiny and refreshed. And a dime sized amount cover a lot of hair. Just rub in your hands and then run your fingers/hands throughout your hair.
Do not wash your hair everyday as it takes out the natural oils
hair spray on hair after washing it as it helps hold styles and fullness when blow drying
I was always told to only wash your hair every few days to let your hair restore its own natural oils as opposed to stripping them with shampoos
After hair is mostly blowdried, use the cool shot and go over your hair to reduce frizz.
dont wash your hair every day.
wash your hair every other day and keep it trimmed
my hair is simple comb n go
I rinse my hair in cold water to combat the frizz.
Keep your hair short.
Wash your hair every other day
Avoid using a blow dryer for healthier looking hair
don’t wash your hair everyday
Awesome!! I comb my conditioner thru in bath so its nice when I rince it
I use leave-in conditioner and mousse when my hair is still wet, then let it air dry to avoid frizz!
Lather, rinse, and repeat works for me.
I double french braid mine after a shower and leave the braids in for 12-18 hours for beautiful crimpy waves
When brushing my hair, i start from the ends and work my way up….find it gentler on my hair that way…
Keep going for a trim.
I use a leave in conditioner and I try to get a trim every two months
I only brush my kids hair wet
use a good conditioner
I deep condition my hair at least once a week to minimize split ends. I also use dry shampoo on my roots, even though my hair is clean because it adds some volume.
I brush my hair to distribute the oils to keep it healthier so that I can wash my hair twice a week instead of more.
Dry shampoo is the best and i wash my hair only twice a week
use leave in hair conditioner almost every night
I wash my hair every couple of days
Moroccan/argan oil works wonders!
Blow dry hair upside down to add volume
brush brush brush and use Moroccan/argan oil………
when your hair is till semi damp, french braid it and sleep on it that way.. You will have lovely waves that are easy to finger curl and only take a lite spritz of spray to stay for the day.
I comb my conditioner thru in bath/shower so its easier to brush when I get out:)
I have thick, thick hair. I do my best to give it at least 45 to air dry before touching the hair dryer. I’ve found the smoothing finishers help too, but can be trial and error before you figure out how much is needed.
dont wash your hair eery day…and if you have super curly hair, brush it in the shower…not after
Use coconut oil once a week for very dry hair. The longer you leave it in the softer your hair will be.
I find a leave- in conditioner is the best for my very-dry hair.
I never, EVER go to bed with wet hair!
i always leave in my hair a little touch of conditioner massaged through my wet hair ,then i blow dry my hair upside down to get underneath the hair dry first ,it really helps to make it have more volome and bounce.
I often tame my hair by using hair spray on a damp paper towel to smooth down the frizz without leaving a thick layer of spray on my hair.
I find I get more style and volume by putting some gel in my hair, styling it and letting it dry by itself.
I rinse my hair with cold water before I get out of the shower
