Keep Organized with Glow Baby #CelebrateMom #Giveaway {Can Only}

Anyone that knows me knows that I LIVE for lists.  I have, at any given time, at least 3 lists on-going.  There is usually my grocery list, to-do list and one other list — be it an extensive cleaning list, or list of clothes that the kids are outgrowing.

My husband, family and friends often tease me about having a list for everything.  And they are probably right — I DO!

I find that keeping lists and menu planning helps keep my day balanced and not so hairy.

Glow Baby provides user-friendly tools that help make scheduling and list making for today’s busy lifestyle a breeze!

Glowbaby pads

All of the Glow Baby products are about helping busy parents, like yourself, save time and reduce day-to-day stresses.  The Glow Baby products help parents with daily activities like:

  • feeding
  • sleeping
  • diapering
  • bathing
  • first foods
  • meal planning
  • family activities
  • general to do lists
  • groceries
  • and more!

I mentioned menu planning helping keep the stress out of the day.

I have been menu planning for almost 2 years now and it has been a life saver!

Every Thursday, I sit down with the flyers that come in the mail, my pad of paper (although now I can use Glow Baby’s shopping list) and my calendar (which will now be replaced by Glow Baby’s Menu Planner).  I go through the flyers noting all the items  that are on sale that I need to stock up on.  Then I take a look at our week and decide what we will have for supper on what days.  Menu planning has helped out a lot in our family.  Now come 5:00, I no longer stand like a deer in the headlights in the middle of my kitchen and wonder “What’s for dinner? What ingredients do we have?”.  By planning out our meals, I know I will have the ingredients on hand and take the guess work out of “What’s for dinner?”.

I am a list fanatic too!!! I meal plan sometimes, especially when I know I’ll be busy. I usually only plan for a week at a time because any longer and I’ll inevitably re-do it. I find that not only does it help me save money and stay organized, I eat MUCH healthier too because I’ve taken the time to plan what I need and how long it will take… the big benefit though is that on days I have more time, because I know what I’ll be making in the coming days, I can pre-prepare aspects of the meals like baking up some chicken for pitas or salad later in the week, pre washing and chopping veggies for cooking and snacking and finding meals that have common ingredients or can dodouble duty (as meal one day, and part of a different meal later in the week – like grilled or baked chicken).

  23. 23

Every time I try and set out a meal plan the hubby eats an ingredient meant for the next nights meal. Example: I take out chicken to make honey glazed chicken thighs in the crockpot, he’ll come home from work see the chicken and cook himself a stir fry LOL. I really plan on focusing on it though. I’m really interested in once a month freezer cooking so perhaps my plans won’t be foiled if I cook and/or prep it all in a day :)
