The summer-like weather has prompted many a request from my 2 kids asking if we can go on a picnic. June is our BUSIEST month and includes 7 family birthday parties, soccer, baseball, gymnastics and all the other year-end events that come with school. So on days when we are home, my first thought is not to drag food for the 4 of us to some park to eat. A picnic in our own backyard sounds like a MUCH better idea!
We received a 6 foot, white pine picnic table from RONA to review. My kids were excited and couldn’t wait for Daddy to put the table together. All the hardware was included and easy to follow instructions made this table easy to assemble — it only took my husband just under an hour to put together.
This beautiful table is super sturdy and is supported by extra braces on the legs underneath the seats. Of course, every year you will want to make sure you tighten any loose bolts, but you will never have to worry about this table falling apart on you.
Because of the natural color of the pine, you can stain this table to look like your other outdoor furniture, or give it it’s own unique look. We still have to decide what color we want to stain ours but now we are ready to host picnics in our own backyard.
So what do YOU put in a picnic lunch? These are some of our favorites:
- strawberries
- raspberries
- or other fruit
- cheese
- sandwiches
- and of course……COOOKIES!
Well I better get that picnic lunch ready to go — I have 2 handsome men waiting on me 🙂
