Bedroom Makeover

We live in a 90 year old heritage style home. We purchased the home from my grandparents before they passed away. We have slowly been renovating the home trying to keep some of the original charm.

I was drawn towards these furniture pieces because they seemed like they would be quality products that would last. The drawers of both the chest and nightstands have English dovetail joints, reinforced wood blocks, smooth open and close glides, felt lined top drawers and solid wood drawer boxes.

I also liked that the dark color of this series would match beautifully with the original wood window frames and baseboards of the bedroom.

I am so happy with how my bedroom makeover turned out. The old frames on each side of the bed are embroidery scenes that were made for my grandma by a friend of hers. They are special to me so I wanted to include them. I like mixing old with new.

The nightstands are perfect! My husband has his books and tablet on the inside shelf which keeps the top from getting cluttered.

The dresser chest is such a beautiful piece of furniture too. My husband bought me some beautiful flowers that I placed on top and I just love how it looks.

I love that I have beautiful, high quality furniture pieces that will last for many years.
