Easy Chicken Lettuce Wraps

Healthy-Chicken-Wraps

One thing I have realized on my real food journey is that food actually tastes really good. I think I forgot what real food actually tasted like when it was always processed or covered in sugar filled, or artificially flavored sauces.

Simple is often better – these chicken lettuce wraps are so tasty, healthy and very easy to make.

Easy Chicken Lettuce Wraps

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Total Time: 20 minutes

These chicken lettuce wraps are quick and easy to make. They are perfect for a meal in a hurry and they taste just as good as they look.

Ingredients

  • 3 chicken breasts
  • 1 medium onion (chopped)
  • 1/2 red pepper
  • 1/2 yellow pepper
  • 1/2 green pepper
  • coconut oil
  • pink salt (Himalayan)
  • Leaf Lettuce

Instructions

  1. Cut the chicken into strips and fry in coconut oil - I use a cast iron pan.
  2. In another pan sauté the onion in coconut oil over medium heat - after 5 minutes add the slices of peppers and the pink salt to taste - keep on the stove top till done. (I do not like my peppers to get soggy, so I keep them on for only a few minutes.)
  3. Combine the chicken, onions and peppers and put by spoonful onto a lettuce leaf. Wrap up the lettuce and enjoy.
  4. Once the chicken and veggies are in the lettuce they will need to be eaten immediately.
