Movie Night! Frozen & Delivery Man

Family time and marriage time are important. We have found that having a movie night is a great way to combine a bit of both. We watch a movie with the family, then put the kids to bed and then hubby and I settle in for a movie and some cuddles. On this movie night we decided to watch Frozen with the girls and watch Delivery Man as our couples movie.

Our latest movie night started by the kids getting into their cozy pyjamas. We pulled out the couch and left our phones in the other room.  We started up the TV and watched the new Disney movie Frozen.

This was a fitting movie for our family as it was about 2 sisters who love each other and would do anything for each other.

Frozen is Available on Blu-ray Combo Pack on March 18th

Walt Disney Animation Studios presents a chilly twist on one of the most humorous and heartwarming stories ever told. “Disney Animation’s best since The Lion King” (William Bibbiani, CraveOnline) will melt your heart.

Fearless optimist Anna sets off on an epic journey — teaming up with rugged mountain man Kristoff and his loyal reindeer Sven — to find her sister Elsa, whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter. Encountering Everest-like conditions, mystical trolls and a hilarious snowman named Olaf, Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom.

Our girls (5 & 8) were a little scared during a few parts of the movie, but they both say they loved it and would watch it again. They loved the songs and they loved the ending because of the “Sister love”.

When Frozen was done it was time for our own 2 princesses to go to bed.  It didn’t take long for the girls to sing themselves to sleep – the songs from the movie are sure to be echoing of our walls for days and weeks to come.

Hubby and I cuddled in to watch Delivery Man, a movie we had be waiting to see.

Delivery Man is Available on Blu-ray Combo Pack on March 25th

In this heartwarming comedy, underachiever David Wozniak (Vince Vaughn) learns he’s actually an overachiever — he’s fathered 533 children via donations made twenty years earlier! David soon discovers that the shock of his life might just be the best thing that’s ever happened to him. Along the way he discovers not only his true self, but also the father he could become. Also starring Chris Pratt and Cobie Smulders — and complete with bonus materials, including behind-the-scenes footage — it’s a feel-good movie that really delivers.

Delivery Man was a lighthearted, feel-good date movie. It had some laugh-out-loud moments and it was neat to see Vince Vaughn transform from a simple delivery man to a caring father.

Our family night/date night was a success and it reminded us that taking time out as a family is a great way to re-energize and enjoy each other as a family and a couple.

Have you seen Frozen or Delivery Man?
