Creamy Asian Slaw

Creamy Asian Slaw

Many of us have goals to live healthier, more vibrant lives. We know salads are healthy, yet some of us have come to rely on traditional coleslaw as a staple for our meals. While this is good, at times it is lacking that “Wow” factor. It’s quite easy to jazz up this classic side dish in a new healthy way. It feels so good to serve delicious recipes to family and friends.

  • 1 12-oz bag of slaw mix
  • 4 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tsp freshly grated ginger root
  • 1 medium red pepper, sliced

  • 1/4 cup Silk Unsweetened almond beverage
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp freshly grated ginger root
  • 1/2 tsp toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp cilantro, roughly chopped
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

In a bowl mix together the salad ingredients (slaw, green onions, ginger root and red pepper).

In another bowl, mix together all the dressing ingredients. Be sure to mix well.

Add the dressing to slaw, mix up well and let sit for 15 – 30 minutes before serving.

Now that you can see how easy it is to serve up this classic slaw in a new healthy way, let your family and friends try it out. I’m sure the response will be all smiles after they taste this creamy Asian slaw.

Silk soy, almond and coconut beverages are a great choice for your healthy lifestyle. With important nutrients like calcium and vitamin D, plus a silky-smooth taste you’ll crave, they’re perfect in smoothies, over cereal and straight up in a glass. Intrigued? Get to know Silk at
