One of the ways that we love to give back, here at Mommy Moment, is to donate gifts to our local community charities. These charities help provide Christmas gifts for those families in our city who cannot afford to purchase gifts for their family members.
When I was a little girl I received a doll in a Christmas hamper. My mom worked very hard, but providing extras was not something that her budget could afford. A Christmas hamper was a blessing to both of us – I always wanted to be able to pay-it-forward one day…and I am so glad that it has become a reality. This is our 3rd annual “Mommy Moment Gives Back” Christmas event. ~Jody
The items that we receive to feature in our Christmas gift guide, go to these local charities and make young and old very happy. This year, we are excited to donate more items than other years.
Our 2014 Christmas Gift Guide has been live for a month, and not only does it provide you with great gift ideas for those on your shopping list, but we are also giving you the opportunity to WIN some great gifts during our #31DaysOfGifts giveaway event right here on Mommy Moment.
Starting December 1st you will have the chance to enter great contests to win fabulous prizes. Each day in December — yep that’s right, all 31 days! — we will be bringing you a giveaway that is sure to be a crowd pleaser in your household. Each of these giveaways will run exactly 3 weeks from the day they start.

I have to tell you, this is a wonderful thing to do to help people give to their children and to provide a good Christmas for everyone. I try to choose a different charity every year. I've already started to buy all kinds of different toys and clothes for next Christmas. This way kids don't have to go without in my area.

When my girls were alot younger, they would send "Christmas Hampers" delivered from Santa Clause, himself. My girls would be so excited, jumping up and down...I was so thankful to those who helped my daughters have a Merry Christmas. AS they are now older, and with Children of their own. Each grandchild, places a gift in whatever place they are in, and plus they empty their cupboards for the can food drive. :)
