Sing Along with the Walt Disney Records The Legacy Collection #31DaysOfGifts #Giveaway {US}

Disney movie soundtracks are always “catchy” and fun to sing along with. My favorite Disney soundtrack would be Mary Poppins!

Walt Disney Records’ newly created line of collectible CDs, Walt Disney Records The Legacy Collection, celebrates the anniversaries of Disney’s most cherished and classic films that have been enchanting audiences for generations.  The 3 CDs that have been released are: Mary Poppins, Sleeping Beauty and The Lion King.

The first release in the series is The Lion King, a two-disc set featuring the original motion picture soundtrack, 30 minutes of previously unreleased score, plus liner notes by Don Hahn (producer) and Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer.

The Lion King Legacy

Showcasing the musical talents of Oscar®-winning legend Julie Andrews (Mary Poppins), beloved actor-comedian Dick Van Dyke (Bert), British comedian David Tomlinson (Mr. Banks) and the Sherman brothers, Disc One of The Legacy Collection Mary Poppins revisits unforgettable favorites such as “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious,” “Chim Chim Cher-ee,” “A Spoonful of Sugar” and “Jolly Holiday.” The second disc features 8 pre-demo recordings, and the third disc begins with over 40 minutes of excerpts from the seminal story meetings between Mary Poppins author P.L. Travers, the Sherman brothers and screenwriter Don DaGradi as they discussed the original outline for the movie, including the music.

Mary Poppins Legacy Collection

Walt Disney Records honors one of the most beloved soundtracks of all time with the 55th anniversary release of the Walt Disney Records The Legacy Collection Sleeping Beauty on October 7, 2014. The Sleeping Beauty collection features the songs and Tchaikovsky-inspired score from the film on Disc One, rare-behind-the scenes recordings, plus The Lost Chords – previously released demos and newly recorded versions, and a collectible 20-page booklet. Also included are extensive liner notes by Paula Sigman-Lowery, an internationally recognized Disney historian and writer, who currently serves as creative consultant for The Walt Disney Family Museum, as well as several divisions of The Walt Disney Company.
