PUBLIC SCHOOL, PRIVATE SCHOOL OR HOMESCHOOL

There seems to be an overwhelming struggle for parents to be okay with the schooling choices others choose for their children. There is this battle going on where everyone thinks that their way of schooling is superior. NEWS FLASH: not everyone has the same learning experience. Whether your children go to public school, private school or homeschool – we are all in it together.

PUBLIC SCHOOL, PRIVATE SCHOOL OR HOMESCHOOL

SUPPORT EACH OTHER – Instead of bashing each other, support each other. Instead of making a parent feel horrible for their decision, make them feel good about it. Tell them what a great job they are doing with their children. Imagine what a world this would be if everyone was positive instead of negative.

DIFFERENT PATHS – Imagine if we all took the same path for our children, it wouldn’t make sense. Every parent and family needs to take the path that is best for them and the well being of their children.

EVERY CHILD IS DIFFERENT – While your children may prosper in a homeschool environment, it doesn’t mean every family will. It is so important to understand that each child and family is different. To think that you’re hurting them by not homeschooling or not sending them to public school is silly. Know your child and what they need – this will help you make the best decision possible.

SEEK SUPPORT – If you don’t feel supported in your schooling decision, seek out support from those who will support you. There are groups, both online and not, that can help you find the support you need.

You should never feel wrong about any path you choose for your children education wise. After all no matter what path you choose for your family – public school, private school, homeschool – we are all in it together!

My son has chosen private schools for his kids based on the fact they don't have a permanent address yet.

This should totally be up to the parent when the kids are young, but when your child gets older it's always good to sit down and talk to them with what they would like!
