Update

Unfortunately we have been having trouble with our camera. My husband is going to have a closer look at it tonight to see if he can get it working.
We have been working on Montessori / art activities for about 1-2 hours per day. I hope to keep this up about 3 days per week throughout the summer.
I have been very thankful for the many ideas I have got from other blogs. Today we squeezed paint onto paper to make butterflies and got the paint ice cubes ready for another day (these ideas and many more I hope to do came from Chasing Cheerios). Snow White also picked opening and closing containers, matching clothing cards to correct season and an extension activity with the brown stair and pink tower. We will also work on her cut and paste phonics book after lunch when little Belle is sleeping.
GUESS WHAT? A Friend of mine who has been a Montessori teacher for 38 years sold me some of her materials this weekend. I purchased…
pink tower
brown stair
small movable alphabet in black and red
matching cards
sound cards
an easel with paint brushes and and aprons
a wooden activity box for Belle
trays
sorting activity with tweezers
puzzle map of the world – continents
puzzle – parts of a seed
reading/sound materials
…and more, I just can not remember off the top of my head. (I hope to post pics of my great purchases when and if we get the camera working).

Wow what a jackpot! Those items don't come cheap unless you are very handy with a saw etc! Looking forward to seeing them in action.
