I was thrilled to have the opportunity to review The Itty-Bitty Bookworm curriculum. Once I received the CD in the mail I quickly headed out the door with the intention to print off the entire Bo’s Curriculum for ages 3-5 and the Bailey’ Curriculum for ages 18m-3 and put them each into a nice binder.

I laugh at this now because when I told that to the kind gentleman he kept asking me if I was sure I wanted to print it all – to make a long story short, I printed off the month of May for each curriculum and had my binders full!

The Itty-Bitty Bookworm Curriculum is a literature-based preschool curriculum on CD that is educational, child-friendly, organized, and easy to use. There is a wealth of information, but don’t let that overwhelm you. It is not necessary to do all of the activities-the beauty of the program is that parents can pick and choose the activities that best fit the needs of their children. Even though preschools use the curriculum, it is easily adaptable for moms to use with their little ones at home.

I operate a Montessori preschool out of my home and I find this curriculum to be a nice addition to our language activities! Each week of curriculum focuses on a different storybook and the activities coordinate with the themes of each book. I like this because I can pick out a specific “theme” that the children are interested in and do not have to follow in order. This works well in “following the lead of the child!”

I am really looking forward to using this curriculum regularly when our classes begin again in fall. My girls will be excited for me to surprise them with special themes to do throughout the summer too! What a great, flexible curriculum that I can make work for our unique needs!

I would love this for my 3 year old-she really wants to start 'school' and this would be so helpful for me! I would like the Bo curriculum, and One thing that I learned was that their materials are on a 2 year rotation, and I love that each lesson was based on a book!
