30th Birthday Bash!!!

So you all read my post about entering a new decade. You know, we laughed, we cried – we shared a moment together.
Well, I wanted to be sure to share some photos from our fabulous family getaway to celebrate this milestone! (Note: This is not a sponsored post in any way. This whole trip was paid by on our own, I just wanted to share it with all of my wonderful readers! If anyone wants to sponsor a trip for me though I would be thrilled LOL).

Our first stop was shopping at Albertville and spending 2 great nights at the Country Inn & Suites in Albertville. We found some great deals while shopping and also enjoyed our stay at the hotel here very much!

I think my favorite part of the trip was spending a good part of the day at American Girl with my 4 year old and her little American Girl doll! The 3 of us enjoyed a wonderful lunch together! (If anyone knows of how they make this spinach salad, I would LOVE the recipe! The warm bacon dressing was to die for!!!) We met some other girls who were enjoying a special day together too!

Even dd’s little doll got to enjoy her own pink lemonade and ice cream with sprinkles! My daughter loved pouring the lemonade for her doll! What a great practical life activity too! I sure enjoyed my birthday treat! Just look at that yummy Oreo Milkshake MMMmmmm Good!
Dear daughter even booked a hair appointment for her little doll! Seriously over priced, but so worth the memories!!!

Did you see that Banana Split? Oh my word it looked AMAZING – but it was not for us, I just had to take a picture to show all of you!
Even the bathrooms were all pink and cute! What a fun time!
Oh ya, and I’ll always remember these lovely ladies singing happy birthday to me!

Ok, moving on… while we were at American Girl, Prince Charming took our little Belle to the aquarium! They both had a blast! Little Belle even got to touch some sea creatures!!!

And when we met up after that we just had to take this free photo opportunity…

So that was our trip to Mall of America…American girl for me and Snow White and the Aquarium for little Belle and Prince Charming! We did watch some of the rides and did stop at the Lego store before making our way to Ikea!!!

On the way home we stopped at Cabela’s (Prince Charming’s favorite store) where we took this “lovely” picture!

On the way home we spent a night at the beautiful C’mon Inn. Guess what was right outside our door…

so after the girls were asleep we took the baby monitor out the door and enjoyed a relaxing evening in the hot tub! Perfect end to a perfect 30th birthday vacation.

But Wait….There is more! Just 2 nights after we got home…

my sister got engaged!!! YAY!

So that is what is new around here! 30 has been incredible so far 🙂

Now, I know there are many little girls who would love an American Girl doll, but they are quite pricey at $99. With Christmas coming up you may want to look at Constructive Playthings! They have 4 different Today’s Girl dolls for just $49.99 each and if you use the button from my sidebar you get an extra 15% off your entire order anytime! – I do not get any percentage of this, I just get to offer you this discount because I am one the the Constructive Playthings Mom Bloggers).

Happy 'belated' 30th birthday! I remember my 30th birthday, it was very tramatic! I was SO broken-up about it. I cried for the longest time! I turned 34 yesterday and again, I cried for about 10 minutes straight. I really hate getting older. It looks like your celebration was a blast. I want to get my daughter an American Girl, but we do not have a store around us. BUMMER! Your daughters are absolutely BEAUTIFUL, by the way! You are truly blessed!Again, Happy Birthday, you celebrated like a true 30 year [email protected]

Looks like you had an awesome time! The American Doll place looks like a dream come true for any little girl. I would have loved to go to a place like that when I was young!

What a fun 30th birthday you had! Looks like a great time.

That's how my husband and I always try to celebrate our birthdays. We would rather take a little trip to remember than buy each other gifts. The best gift is one that you both can enjoy!

May you have a wonderful year, Jody!

It looks like you guys had a great time! I've always thought the American Girl dolls looked like a lot of fun, but with only having boys... I hope you enjoy your thirties. I've been here for 4 years and haven't started falling apart yet. I was pleasantly surprised by that! :)
