Shopping For You

by Carly,

Anyone else find it hard to go clothes shopping for yourself? I do.

I don’t get the chance often to go without my gaggle of girls, as I refer to them. You would think that when I do get to shop all by myself  I would run to the woman’s section of a clothing store much like what you see in a cheesy romance movie when the women and man are slowly running to one another with there arms out ready for the long awaited embrace.Yeah, it is not so much like that for me.

First of all what size am I? It changes often, from pre baby to maternity to post baby I have no idea! I know what size I want to think I am, just not the actualities. Too bad that fantasy and reality can not become one in the jeans department of a store. Don’t even get me started on trying things on in the dressing room. I am usually so exhausted from my lack of sleep and other motherhood duties that the thought of trying something on makes me want to roll up into the corner of the mall and take a nap.

I would, hands down, rather shop for my three daughters than for myself.  Little girls clothing sections in the stores are the funnest place to be in the world. I love picking out clothes for my daughters. The little ruffles and frills and the cute jeans. Footsie pajamas are the most adorable things in existence. I love the jackets, sweaters and pink accessories galore. In fact I usually run out of time  in a store looking at all the stuff for them before I even get to my section.

I stay at home with my girls, so looking fashionable does not always work, by lunch time I’ll have all sorts of lovely stains and goobers adorning my clothes.  I like to look nice and spend time on myself, it just does not happen often.

I am hoping to start a new fashion line of  t-shirts and jeans with various kid stains already on them so I will fit right in. Do you think it will catch on? Until then I guess I need to go to the store and buy some clothes for myself even though I won’t be enjoying it!

Whats your opinion on clothes shopping for you?
