Family Fun Day

Christmas was BUSY. I’m not sure how Christmas works for all of you, but it involves a bit of travel for us. We do not live in the same city as either of our parents.

We were very busy going to holiday parties, attending Christmas programs, volunteering for local Christmas charity events that we actually had to be intentional about and enjoying some quiet, meaningful time with our girls.

Perkins Restaurant & Bakery sent our family a gift card. They did not expect anything in return, they just wanted to give our family a chance to reconnect and enjoy a delicious, fun meal now that the rush of Christmas was over. We decided to make use of this wonderful gift on the last day before our daughter had to return to school.

I felt so blessed.  Our 2 year old was fast asleep when we arrived at the restaurant, but she woke up happy! We left the cell phones in the car and we had so much fun with our girls. The atmosphere was relaxed, the food was amazing, but listening to our girls share silly stories and talk about all fun adventures they had over the busy holidays was the best part.

Do you take time to just enjoy being with your family?

Here are some pictures from our Family Fun Day. Thank-you so much Perkins Restaurant & Bakery for your generosity to us!

Disclosure: I received a gift card from Perkins Restaurant & bakery but was not required to write a post or provide links. I wrote the post to thank them for their generosity to our family!

How fun. What a good idea to leave cell phones in the car for a family meal out.
