Children, violin & the elderly…a great Christmas combination

This week my daughter had her violin Christmas concert at a local care home. The elderly love seeing little children. They loved seeing our girls all dressed in their costumes on Halloween and I knew they would love watching the children play their violins…

Kate was the youngest child (by a year) who played in the concert. She played her little heart out even though she was so sleepy…

and just like I suspected, the elderly loved it too!

I hope that when I’m old I’ll have children coming to see me too!

I work with people of all ages and a lot of elderly. The smallest amount of time that you spend with them is so valuable. They also have great stories to tell. Glad to see the littles doing such a great thing for the elderly.

I love love love this. I think it is so terrific when kids go and just spend time with the elderly. It makes both feel special. As they should!

That is so sweet. I used to arrange activities for local seniors, and seeing kids perform was always the most popular.

This is something we do each year, we do to the nursing homes and the kids sing carols. It's rewarding for everyone all round!!

She's so cute

You can tell that she's exhausted, but I'm sure she did great and the people there LOVED it!
