Animals United DVD #giveaway {3 Winners}

Like I have probably mentioned in the past, we are always on the look out for fun, family friendly movies to watch with our kids.

Animals United is an animated animal movie that likens itself to Madagascar with animal characters such as a giraffe, lion & elephant.  There are many other great characters like monkeys, koalas, tortoises, a funny, little spitfire rooster that shows up on the African Savannah through interesting circumstances, and a polar bear.  Yes even a polar bear makes her appearance in this movie to help out the animals on the Savannah.

Here is a synopsis of the movie:

When the African savannah runs dry, Billy, a courageous meerkat, and Socrates, a laid back lion, prepare to go the distance in order to find water. On their journey they cross paths with a rooster named Charles, who tells them of a place where the water still flows. But by the time Charles leads them there, humans have already staked their claim – a local entrepreneur has constructed a dam in order to divert the water to his luxury hotel. Now Billy and Socrates must call in all of their animal friends in order to teach humans a thing or two about sharing the land!

This is a movie that my children thoroughly enjoyed.  They laughed and problem solved along with the characters.  Although I found the beginning of the movie to be a little bit sporadic with scenes jumping from animal to animal by the end of the movie I was enjoying it along with my kids.  I especially got a kick out of the songs that they played in this movie.

Unlikely friendships form in this movie, showing that it doesn’t matter if you were born to be on opposite sides of the food chain, you can work together.
