Award-winning Bananagrams’ family of games #giveaway

In these days of everything electronic, instant and digital it is nice to know that there are still some things that can entertain us and not require a battery and/or power cord.  Bananagrams has come up with 5 games that will entertain everyone in your family. They are perfect for that rainy day activity or easy to zip up and take on the go.

The first and most notable is the game BANANAGRAMS® (SRP: $14.95).  This game is composed of 144 tiles with every letter of the alphabet.  The object of the game is to start with a set amount of tiles (varies by the number of players).  It is then a race to form a word in your own playing space.  Once a word is formed the player yells “Peel” and 3 more random tiles are taken.  The “playing board” is then reconfigured and the “playing board” get larger and larger till it resembles a Scrabble playing board.

This is a great game that expands your mind and is a great educational tool for kids who want their grammar challenged.    This is a challenging game that I love.  When I feel my brain needs a jolt and needs to be expanded, my wife and I sit down and expand our minds together.  And when I say expand together, it is usually my mind that gets blown away, cause she beats me most of the time 😉

Another game that I would like to highlight is Fruitominoes® (SRP: $12.95).  Just like the name suggests, this is a play on dominoes, however you are connecting fruit instead of dots.  This is a great way to get kids hooked on the classic game of dominoes but not overwhelm them.  With the highest number being 6 cherries any child can get hooked on this classic game.

PAIRSinPEARS® (SRP: $16.95) is another game that has worked its way into our family game nights.  In this game all the tiles are distributed amongst the players and flipped up.  Players then make words 2 words that cross over each other, known as a pair.  The object is to make as much “pairs” as possible.  This is a great game for elementary school kids who are still building on their grammar skills. The game provides a great way for children to develop memory and cognitive skills while learning the alphabet, pattern recognition, vowels, vocabulary, rhyming and more. Even our 6 year old got into the game and learned a couple new words out of it.

These are just 3 of the 5 games that we have had fun playing.

The other wonderful games are:

Appletters® (SRP: $16.95) was originally designed with younger players in mind and features three levels of play to amuse children and challenge adults.  The game comes in an apple-shaped cloth pouch containing 110 ivory-like tiles.  In addition to the version for a younger audience, the game also includes instructions for more adult play – APPLE TURNOVER™ for an extra challenge and APPLESCORE™ for word lovers who like to have fun with palindromes and semi-palindromes.

ZIP-IT® (SRP: $ 14.95) is a two-player crossword race that can be played anytime, anywhere in as little as 20 seconds. For players ages seven and up, Zip-It features 24 high-quality letter cubes packaged in a unique cloth pouch with scoring zippers.   The ability to play compactly on an airplane or train tray make ZIP-IT the ultimate travel game.

All the games from Bananagrams are fun and simple to play.  They all come in attractive durable pouches that are very transportable.  These games expand your mind and challenge you. Why not try out these games for yourself and make a regular family fun night out of it.  Our family does this on Sunday nights.  When will you do yours.
