The past few weeks I have been busy doing yard work. The girls each helped me plant their little box gardens and they are so excited to see that the plants are beginning to pop up.
Planting is not the only thing we have been busy with though, we also decided to clean up the backyard clutter. I was amazed at how much junk we had in the old sheds and hidden corners of the yard.
We filled a few bags for the trash, sold an old bike, took some old planters to the local thrift store even gave my sister our leftover plants and containers for her garden. It sure feels nice to have a clean yard and now I can’t wait for the rain to stop so we can enjoy the view.

I recently got rid of some old bikes. I found a place that will fix them up and donate them. If they are too far gone the metal is recycled and sold to raise money for fixing up other bikes. What a great cause!
