NIVEA and Plan Canada support children in Senegal {and NIVEA Back-To-School Contest}

Do you know where Senegal is?
Do you know what life is like down there?
Is there hope in this place for kids?
If you do not know the answer to these questions, its time for a quick geography lesson.  Senegal is in Western Africa in the Sub Sahara region.  As for life in this part of the world, life can be hard.  In fact most people earn only $1.25 a day.  There is poor health care and for the majority of the population (49% of the people are under 18), education is just not in the cards for them.  That is why Plan Canada and Nivea want to help answer the last question with YES.

With staggering numbers like this, it is Plan Canada’s goal to reach 25000 children and youth by providing proper educators, materials and even schools to certain regions.

Plan Canada is able to see the vision of breaking the cycle of poverty with education.  By educating this generation, it will also be a beacon of hope for future generations!

Plan Canada was founded in 1937 and is the oldest and largest international development agency. Nivea is trying to help Plan Canada achieve their vision.

We've sponsored a child for the last nine years. Just the simple act is teaching my children to care and think of others.
