Get creative with Dempsters – Put Your Leftovers into a Sandwich! #Giveaway

When it comes to leftovers we always thought we only had 2 options, reheat and re-serve what was good a couple days ago, or leave it in the far back of the fridge where no one ever looks and wait till it becomes its own science experiment.  However just like Bob Dylan said…”the times they are a changing”.  Dempsters wants to challenge your preconceived notions that leftovers are destined for microwaves or to turn into fuzzy objects that you cannot differentiate if its meatballs or mixed vegetables.
Dempsters

Growing up I remember Dempsters being a staple in my lunch box everyday when I went to school.  The other night I discover some leftover breaded fish in the fridge from dinner the night before. My mind started to wander and I thought “why can’t this be a sandwich”.  So with a couple slices of of Dempsters white bread and some other ingredients (and of course TLC), we had a sandwich that tasted delicious and way quick and easy to make.

Sandwich

The sandwich/fishwich was simple and easy to make.  You start with 2 slices of Dempsters white bread a bead of lettuce and finish it with a dollop of tartar sauce.  This is a great sandwich that is great for lunch or a late night snack when you need something that will remind you of a great homemade sandwich that mom used to make.  If you want to mix it up a little feel free to add hot sauce or a slice of tomato for fun and variety.

Fish Sandwich

When it comes to leftovers think about what I like to call the sandwich factor.  Bread is not meant for just cold cuts.  Meatball, meatloaf, steak…just be creative.  I have even heard of spaghetti.  These are great for those late night snacks or even a brown bag lunch.  Your hunger pains and your taste buds will be satisfied because you decided to use Dempsters and “Sandwich It“.
