Dance Parties Are Fun ~ When You Are Healthy #HealthyFamilies

Our girls like being healthy, read on to find out why 🙂

It’s that time of year again where we start to bundle up and get out our toques, mittens and down filled jackets.  It is also a time where germs seem to have full reign of our home with coughs, sniffles and sneezes being the hallmark of the introduction to the winter season.  Good thing there are some preventative measures we can take before that dreaded cold hits.

When it comes to our children my husband is a bit of a stickler for making sure the girls are dressed warm. He always reminds the girls to keep their hats on just like his mama always told him.  My hubby always says he was that child who always ripped off his toque as soon as he was out the door…he also openly admits that he payed for it later…earaches, sniffles and coughs were all too common.

Once our girls get to school and take off their warm winter outerwear I know they have entered into what I like to refer to as “Germ Central”.  I say this because any time you have a large amount of people gathered in one place you are bound to have some viruses in the crowd, and when they are a bunch of children, the probability of this is elevated ten fold.  Having our children practice good hygiene is a great start. The girls love washing their hands at home with the Lysol No-Touch Hand Soap System and we trust that these healthy habits from home are remembered when they are away from home too.

Winter can be a great time of year where you can simply enjoy your time with your family.  It can be filled with snowmen, snowball fights and hot chocolate.  The cold and flu does not have to be a part of it.

I asked our girls what the best thing was about being healthy….”So we can have our dance parties”.

So there you have it, Dance Parties are fun when you are healthy!
