Christmas is coming.
The holidays are often a busy time of year which can easily cause stress, anxiety and even tension. This is the last thing we want our Christmas’ to be focused on.
As you already know, I am one of Sobeys Better Food Lovers bloggers. This month each of the contributors shared our tips for getting through this holiday season.
Of course we do not have all the answers, so we want to crowdsource our readers to share their tips (AKA Superpowers) for a chance to win 1 of 12 $100 Sobeys gift cards!
Giveaway Moment:
Share your best holiday survival tip/trick ON MY POST for a chance to win a Sobeys Gift Card valued at $100! Each of the Better Food Lovers will pick the best comment on each of their holiday entertaining posts. (If I have too hard of a time choosing my favorite tip I will use a random draw…) The top 12 tips will win a Sobeys Gift Card and be featured in a future roundup of crowdsourced holiday entertaining tips.
Check out my post “Jody’s Tips For A Relaxed And Joyous Holiday” on the Better Food Lovers’ holiday posts, and leave a comment on that post. It’s that easy!
Contest closes Friday December 7th, 2012
You can gladly leave your comments here, but only the ones on my post on the Sobeys Better Food Lovers Blog will be entered in the Giveaway.
Good Luck!!

I always set a goal of December 20th to have all of my shopping, cleaning and baking done. Then, I spend the next few days leading up to Christmas relaxing, playing with the kids, watching Xmas movies and generally just enjoying the season guilt free. This way, it's not all over before I know it because I've taken the time to relish the moments.

Shop at the beginning of the week and get to the mall as close to opening as possible less people, less stress.

If you have people to diner that do not know each other well I put place cards with their names on it and seat people I think would have the most to talk about next to each other, plus each guest receives a small gift

Take 2 hours for yourself one afternoon and do what you want like coffee with a friend, bubble bath, etc. and before you start your 2 hours put the phone off, drop the kids off at a movie or with friends and stick to your guns and no working around the house.

My best tip is to have everyone that is coming for Christmas dinner bring something for the dinner as I cook the Turkey and Dressing. It works out really great. I also use paper plates, so there is minimum cleanup. A couple of weeks before Christmas I also make shortbreads, gingerbread and nuts n bolts for snacks so I'm prepared and don't have so much to do on the day of our Christmas celebration.
