Have a Daddy/Daughter Date this #ValentinesDay with Strawberry Shortcake #Giveaway {Can Only}

This past weekend while my darling wife was away, I had the chance to take my 2 little princesses on a daddy/daughters date.

And we had a berry good time!

We had the opportunity to go see a Kobo Entertainment production.  The classic children’s cartoon character Strawberry Shortcake along with her friends and special guests The Doodlebops!  To my girls I was an instant hero, because hey, these are celebrities that we got to see in real life.

Doodlebops

For my little princesses, this was an instant hit.  They love watching them at home, so to see them in “real life” (as they say) was just a dream come true.  They gobbled it all up and were immersed in the stories that the Doodlebops and Strawberry Shortcake had to share.

Of course Strawberry Shortcake had the longer more in-depth plot which help children to believe in themselves and be who they are.  This was a great message for all the children to hear and see.  Strawberry Shortcake and her friends did a great job of promoting this positive message about self worth and not being afraid of who they are.

However the real hero of the night was…me (and this is according to them…I am not that full of myself).  Yes, my daughters made me feel like I was surrounded by royalty.

For those of you who know me, you know that I think the world of the the 3 ladies in my life.  And the 2 that I was in charge of this past weekend were the focus of my attention…and I loved it.  I love to take my girls out on dates and treat them like they are royalty.  Why?  Because they deserve it.  I know that one day they are going to bring home some guy (that I will scare the living sh*t out of) and I want standards set for them — NOW.  I have chosen to give my girls all that I can to make them feel special so they know what to look for later in life.

This was a great time to spend with my little girls.  We all had a great time and walked away from the theater feeling great about ourselves and being thoroughly entertained.  Being a dad and being escorted by 2 beautiful girls, and having a great night of entertainment and some super cool kids meals at a cool restaurant is one way that I made their night and help set them up for the rest of their lives.

Before school, my daughter and I have a girl's day where we look for a new outfit, school supplies, go out for lunch etc. She's still young so I hope this continues well into high school...well, college.

One of ours is a picnic in the park, and we usually take a soccer ball, or a volleyball, if there's a basketball court we'd take one of those too...or football :)
