Thank-you Mommy Moment for the Diaper Genie Elite!

We have 2 in diapers and the garbage and smell pile up quickly! We are loving the new diaper genie elite. First off, setting up the genie was actually really simple. There are only a few steps and the directions are very clear. I did have to push fairly hard to get the hinge in but that is a one time thing so it isn’t a big deal.

Secondly, it has been really easy to use and really effective. The kids (well my 2yr old and 4 yr old) are volunteering to throw the diapers out! They love the foot pedal open (we all do, hubby and I included) and my girls love how the diapers disappear. My oldest says it’s like magic. Today my husband said to me, “Well, I like this new diaper thingy! It really keeps the smell in!” Taking the bag out is easy too. I was worried that if I over filled it there would be a mess when I went to open it. But even though I let it get really full (and I mean REALLY full) it was still no problem to empty. My 4 yr old daughter opened it up, I lined up the bag and cut it with the built in cutter and tied it off. Even with figuring out how to use the cutter and tying the bag of dirty diapers and tying a new bottom on the bag it still took less than a minute.

Although I don’t really like having to tie the bottom off, I really don’t know of a better way for it to be done and it isn’t really a big deal. It truly does keep the smell away! If people didn’t know we had a baby they could walk into our bathroom and not be clued in (to use a random, weird example).

And finally, I was impressed with the quality of the bags too. They are strong plastic and can hold a lot.

We are very happy with our Playtex Diaper Genie Elite and will be happy to recommend them to others.

My daughter is a single mom who lives with us and we really appreciate getting baby items such as Diaper Genie Elite.

If we can only use just one sentence for the summary of our review, I would say that it’s a fabulous item for all new parents. I haven’t changed any diapers in more than 20 years and with a newborn at home and a new mom to take care of, things are a bit hectic here. When I received the Diaper Genie Elite and assembled it, I instantly fall in love with it. It can hold a lot of newborn diapers in one bag (I mean really a lot) as compared to regular shopping plastic bags that I used to throw in diapers. I don’t need to frequently put in new a bag for diapers as it did fill out quickly when I used regular plastic bag. I like the hands-free feature that I can use the foot-pedal to easily throw in the diaper and it helps to keep the smell from spreading around the house too.
