A Letter From My Husband ~ #FordExplorer

Dear Wonderful Wife:

I know that I have not been the best hubby this year, but with my birthday coming around the corner I think I deserve a little treat this year.  After all, I DID do the laundry that one time last year.

We just had the privilege of having the 2013 Ford explorer for a week and unfortunately, it has been a week that has gone by too fast.  But now honey, let’s think about how great this SUV will be for our family.  With the ability to fit 7 people COMFORTABLY, it’s a no brainer.  And like you always tell me, be safe…well there is just tons of ways we can keep the family safe in what I would call a luxury SUV.

FordExplorerSport

First of all there are lots of air bag and some new ones that I had never seen, including inflatable seat belts and (new for 2013) knee airbags.  There are blind spot notifications that are great for interstate driving and larger brakes for improved stopping power.

The other very cool feature that needs to be mentioned is the ingenious cruise control features.  First of all they have incorporated a gap control to regulate the distance between you and the vehicle in front of you.  If the car in front of you slows down so do you.  It is genius.  Also if the vehicle in front of you slows down too fast, the vehicle you are driving automatically slows down and alerts you to take action.  That means more safety for me and the most precious cargo sitting in their car seats right behind us.  There is even a curve control that automatically applies the breaks if the vehicle feels you are turning too sharp to0 fast.

As for interior features there is comfort for you and the rest of the family to your heart’s content.  Everything from heated and COOLED seats, satellite radio with a 12 speaker Sony sound system, and about a million adjustments to your seat, steering wheel and pedals, this SUV is just like Burger King…you can have it your way.  All at your fingertips with a touch screen that is easy to access for everyone.   Even a moon roof that extends all the way back to the kids.

Ford Explorer

Last of all is the 4 wheel drive.  You know that I have been a good boy who likes to play in the mud.  The terrain management system offers a versatile handling for virtually any condition along with a optional manual steering wheel paddle shifting system, this is one way to make a happy boy.

So as you can see this toy is not only just for me, but you too.  You deserve a great SUV.  So do us a favor and get it for yourself.  Maybe I can drive it sometimes (through the mud) and then we will all be happy 😉

Love, Me

I had a 1999 Ford Explorer and had to sell it last year. I am hoping and budgeting to get a new one this year! I love them and miss my old one. :-)
