Get Snacking with SnackBox #Giveaway {CAN}

Afternoon snacks & evening munchies with friends is a great opportunity to try out new and healthy snacks.  But what if you don’t like them?  I’m not one to spend a lot of money on new snacks without knowing if I will enjoy them after I have opened the bag.

This month the Snackbox was filled with delicious snacks that even my kids couldn’t get enough of!  The July Snackbox was put together by Erin Ireland.  Erin is a Vancouver local who is the contributing food reporter for CTV Morning Live, and The Rush on Shaw TV.

Here are the goodies Erin has selected:

Chocolate Ginger Cookies from Kitchening & Co. — these cookies are made by a family-run company that is based in Vancouver.  Kitchening & Co. is known for their macaroons and chocolate ginger cookies.  They use the best and freshest ingredients like grated ginger, chocolate and real butter.

Fresh is Best Tortilla Chips are low sodium, gluten free tortilla chips that are delicious!  I am always looking for great snacks, and tortilla chips and salsa is one of my favorites!  These regular, red and green chips have a great flavor that is perfect to pair with salsa or guacamole (or even plain as I discovered!)

Rumble Energy Drink was developed in Victoria BC and is labeled as Canada’s 1st Nourishing Drink.  Rumble Energy Drink comes in 2 great flavors – Cocoa and Vanilla Maple.  This drink has no artificial products in it which means it will give you a boost of natural energy — AND it’s gluten FREE!

Monkey Butter – Salted Caramel is an all natural peanut butter made in small batches by 2 girls.  The salted caramel flavor gives your piece of bread a delicious dessert taste.  This peanut butter has no artificial ingredients and is low in sugar and salt!

Monkey Butter

Locally made in Maple Ridge BC,  Hardbite Potato Chips use only local ingredients and a delicious snack to indulge in.  Erin’s favorite is the Rock Salt and Vinegar, so that is what you would be receiving in the July box.

Granola Girl, April, specializes in vegan and organic granola cereal.  With super-foods like goji berries, hemp hearts and nuts, you are sure to want to put Granola Girl on your next helping of yogurt.

Orange with Goji Berries in Dark Chocolate is the name of the Urge Chocolate bar that comes in the July Snackbox.  Make with dark chocolate and goji berries you can treat your body to natural antioxidants which are great for your health.  Even though I am not a fan of dark chocolate, I really like the taste of this dark chocolate bar mixed with the orange and goji berries.  My husband loves dark chocolate and I know he will love to have a square of this chocolate bar daily!

Sweet and Salty Pretzel Snack Mix from Cocolico by Wendy Boys, gives you that sweet and salty combination that we love!  The pretzels are covered in Cocolico’s signature Salted Butter Caramel Sauce and spices leaving your mouth wanting more.

Fruit bars from Powerplant will make you replace all other fruit bars in your cupboard.  This delicious fruit bar is perfect to stick in your purse or bag for that quick on-the-go snack.  All Powerplant bars are raw, organic, vegan, gluten free and peanut free so you can even have them in the school with you as you volunteer.

Chocolate Macaroons

The Organic Lives Chocolate Macaroons, are the perfect treat to have with your afternoon coffee.  This local to Vancouver company gives you the equivilant amount of antioxidants as 2 cups of fresh blueberries in every macaroon.  These are delicious and (unfortunately) I had to share them with my children.

Skeet & Ike’s Organics Trail Mix is a combination of fruit and nuts that are certified organic.  Their  motto ” Who Says Snack Food Has To Be Junk Food?” says it all!  Next time you are sitting down to watch a movie or want an afternoon snack, why not try the Skeet & Ike’s Trail Mix.

Hippie Foods Coconut Chips are a young coconuts sliced and then roasted to create the perfect crunch.  These Coconut Chips would be perfect sprinkled on your morning fruit or yogurt.

Each Snackbox comes with a pamphlet describing all the products in your box as well as where to buy them.
