You may have heard that Tim Hortons has given new meaning to the term “la dolce vita” by reintroducing the Extreme Italian Sandwich as a permanent fixture on its menu.
Today my husband and I went on a lunch date to Tim Horton’s to try the Extreme Italian Sandwich. I wanted to have my husband along to try it out because Italian Sandwiches are his favorite and I wanted to get his honest opinion on it.
We ordered the Extreme Italian Sandwich along with a bowl of soup since the weather here in Manitoba is frigidly cold.
The Extreme Italian is served on a soft, Parmesan bun that is topped with herbs. It is stacked with layers of ham capicollo, genoa salami and pepperoni and is topped with mozzarella and a creamy sundried tomato sauce.
My husband was impressed, he admitted to being pleasantly surprised! I really enjoyed it as well.
The Extreme Italian Sandwich is priced at $4.99 and available at Tim Hortons restaurants across Canada.

My hubby and I went this weekend to try the Extreme Italian Sandwich, with the weather being so bad it was so nice to get some time out of the house and Timmy's seemed to be the prefect place to go. Being a Mayo/mustard kinda girl I usually change out sauces of sandwiches but this creamy sundried tomato sauce was saying try me try me. The different flavours of meat blended perfectly together,the sauce was so good, I'm glad I tried it. The Parmesan and herbed bun alone was delicious. I pleasantly surprised that the sandwich actually looked so much like the pictures Tim Horton posts, usually you see food postings and in some restaurants they never look like the picture. It was filling and extremely tasty. I just wish they put thicker slices of tomato on the sandwich they slice them too thin. other than that my tummy was very satisfied. Thanks

Being very eager to try this Extreme Italian Sandwich, I took the first opportunity to buy one and take it home to enjoy. I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the bun. This sandwich was really a complete meal. I am a little leery of spicy or extreme any thing but this offering was everything that it was touted to be. I even had my vegetable serving as well as protein and carbohydrates. I found the mixture intriguing and tasty. The dressing was piquant, but not overly so. I certainly did not have any discomfort from the delicious meats filling up the bun. I was surprised that I could eat a sandwich labelled 'extreme' and enjoy it so much and have no digestive after effects. Would I eat it again?-In a Tim Horton's minute! Thank you for the opportunity for enjoying this Extreme Italian Sandwich and I hope I will enjoy many more!

I really enjoyed the Extreme Italian Sandwich! I loved the sun-dried tomato sauce and the herb bun compliments it well. This is one of my new favourites at Tim Hortons!

I really liked how this sandwich looked and it was just as delicious as it looked too. I'm not really into spicy foods but this wasn't overdone here. The sauce was fantastic and really added to my enjoyment. I'm a bit of a fussy eater so I was really surprised that I actually enjoyed this as much as I did. I also loved the bread, I'm a big bread fan and the fact that it was topped with cheese and herbs made the sandwich even better in my mind. I am so glad that I got to try this sandwich.

Thank you for choosing me to review the Extreme Italian Sandwich. I really, really loved it! I like the spiciness of the meats and the sun-dried tomato sauce is awesome. It really adds to the sandwich. I want to get a container of it to take home! The bread is extra tasty because of the Parmesan topping, although it is rather messy. Overall, this is definitely my favorite Tim Horton's sandwich ever! It is my new go-to meal at Timmie's!
