Bright Abstract Nail Art

Normally when I do my nails, I have an idea before I put the polish to the nail.  But not this time. Nothing creative was coming to me so I picked some colours I liked and just started painting, and this is what turned out!

Bright Abstract Nail Art

I started with painting strips of colour with the white then added the black lines to separate the colours and to make it look like a cleaner job. I just used creativity from there on adding lines and dots from whatever I thought of.

I added a matte top coat for this design to change it up a little but I think you could work this design with a shiny finish too. It has been nice to wear some bright colours on my nails since it is finally starting to warm up outside! The great thing about this design is that you can use whatever colours you want and however many colours you want. I could do this design again tomorrow with colours that were completely different and adding different lines and dots in different places and it would come out looking totally individual.

I enjoyed painting this design because there weren’t any restrictions.  I painted what I wanted, where I wanted on the nail and proved that random can turn out looking good too.

Meg's NailsMegan is a 16 year old student, in grade 10. Her passion for nail art started at around age 11 but she never got into doing designs until this last summer when she and her family moved to Steinbach. Megan loves trying new designs out on her nails and sharing them with the people around her. She would love to pursue a nail career after grade 12 and enjoys having her own private ‘salon’ (Meg’s Nails) in her basement while still in school.
