Sofia the First – The Floating Palace

Growing up, when I thought about the Disney Princesses, the names Sleeping Beauty, Belle and Cinderella came to mind. Now, another princess has captured the hearts of the younger generation.

Sofia The First The Floating Palace

Young girls love Sofia the First because of her down to earth attitude and kind-hearted ways. Sofia’s purple dress and amulet are the envy of every little girl as they twirl, dance and sing in their living rooms at home.

Sofia is not only popular on her own accord, but she brings extra special magic with her. The Disney Princesses often stop by to lend her a hand or to give her some regal advice. Sofia’s amulet helps summon the Disney Princesses when she is in trouble or scared. Sofia has met with princesses like Cinderella, Jasmine, Belle, Aurora and Snow White.

In Sofia the First – The Floating Palace, princess Ariel stops by to ensure that Sofia and her mermaid from Oona stay safe.

After Sofia helps a little mermaid named Oona, Sofia’s amulet grants her the power to transform into a mermaid and visit her new friend’s secret underwater kingdom. But when Cedric (disguised as a sea monster) plots to steal Oona’s enchanted Mermaid Comb, danger surfaces for both worlds. With a little help from special guest, Princess Ariel, Sofia embarks on an adventure to rescue Oona and prevent a typhoon before it’s too late. Overflowing with oceans of song-filled fun – plus three more exciting episodes – The Floating Palace proves that when families and friends work together, they can weather any storm and save the day!

The DVD also includes additional episodes:

  • Tri-Kingdom Picnic
  • Finding Clover
  • Make Way for Miss Nettle

I have heard so much about Sophia, the new princess. It sounds like she has values that parents can relate to.

I had never heard of Sofia the first. This is very interesting and thank you for telling me about her. I haven't heard my girls mention her at all.
