Super Duper Helps with Leisurely Summertime Learning #Giveaway

Super Duper Summertime Learning

With summer quickly approaching (and I mean quickly — it is already May 20th!!) we know it won’t be long before the kids are out of school and family vacations and days at the beach will become a reality.  If your kids are anything like mine, 2 whole months off of school is not as fun as it sounds.  Both of my kids, although they love to be outside enjoying the beautiful summer weather, still crave to learn and be taught during these summer months.  And in our house, the learning-loving kids do not take after me, so it is sometimes hard for me to come up with creative and yet fun ideas in regards to learning.

Super Duper Publications has many activities available to help your children continue their learning during the warm summer months.  Your children have a chance to be in cut-and-paste heaven with the Say & Glue for Language & Listening book.

Super Duper Say and Glue

As your kids are working through this book, they are not just cutting and gluing.  As they listen to the instructions they are learning 6 important language skills:

  1. categorizing
  2. telling what items are used for (functions)
  3. following complex directions
  4. following conditional directions (if…then)
  5. retelling stories (semantic recall)
  6. and understanding basic concepts (25 basic concepts in all!).

Each language and listening activity has a full-page picture scene and an instruction page with:

  • 4-12 directions to follow. (“Find the ladybug. Glue it on the ground.”)
  • 3-5 language expansion activities. (“Name something a bird does.”)
  • Drawings of items to cut and paste on the picture scene page (e.g, bee, butterfly, duck, turtle, ladybug, and bird).

Language & Listening also has easy-to-follow instructions, a parent/helper letter, extension activities for each skill, and two motivating awards.

Whether you are on vacation sitting around a picnic table, sitting on the deck of a pool, or stuck inside on a raining summer day, why not try Auditory Memory for WH Questions Fun Deck.

Auditory Memory

There are 56 imaginative, illustrated cards that have a short story on them and five WH questions—who, what, when, where, and why. Your children need to use their auditory memory skills to answer questions that relate to the story.  This is a great game to play in the vehicle on road trips, and as kids get older, they can read the cards to each other.  These creative and fun stories make learning fun!

Auditory Memory Cards

To avoid the so-called summer slide, games by Super Duper like Grammar Chipper Chat, Granny’s Candies and Sentence Fill-In Fund Deck can offer much needed review for those who struggle with reading, auditory processing and language.  Better yet, these boxed games and fun decks go anywhere — sitting in a restaurant, waiting at the airport or playing in the backyard with siblings.
