Summer Fruit Nail Art

So this Sunday it will officially be summer and one of my favorite things about summer is that the fruit is not only cheaper (can you tell I’m a Mennonite?) but also way yummier!  Last time I showed you my watermelon nails, and this week I am adding kiwi’s and pineapples to the collection.

Kiwi Nails

I must say that I did not come up with these designs but have seen different fruit nails around and just tried replicating them.  My personal favorites are definitely the pineapples, and I actually found them really easy to do on my right hand too, and that’s always a plus.

Make sure you have a bright blue for the background because that adds to the effect of the design, and then all you need is a yellow, a green and black. Make an oval with your yellow and then add some sporadic green sprouting from the top. Then make the criss-crosses with black and outline the shape and your done. Your pineapples can be sideways, upside-down or right-side up, doesn’t matter, just have fun. I can pretty much grantee that you’ll be craving pineapples the whole time you have these on your nails, or even after just staring at the picture of my nails.

Oh, I just realized this could be a breakthrough in dieting strategies. If your nails are always covered in fruit that’s what you’ll crave! Well, I’m not sure about that, but I am going to eat pineapple now…
