6 Tips for Back-to-School Clothes Shopping that will Save You Money! #Giveaway {CAN}

I don’t know about you, but my kids seem to grow a lot more during the summer.  Maybe it is all the sunshine 😉  Of course, this means that they can no longer fit into the school clothes they were wearing at the end of the school year.  Because of this, Back-to-School clothes shopping can be an expensive venture.  Here are 6 Tips for Back-to-School Clothes Shopping that will save you money!

6 tips for back to school shopping

#1)  Take an Inventory of your child’s closet.  Every season, I put the previous season’s clothes in a bin.  That way I can evaluate what they have for winter versus summer.  Know what your child needs before you head out shopping.

#2)  Sell non-fitting clothes to make room (& MONEY!) for new clothes.  There are consignment stores or on-line classified sites that allow you to sell your items.

#3)  Ask friends or family if they have any clothes available.  I’m lucky to have 2 sister-in-laws with children older than mine.  This means that there is a chance my daughter will be able to use their gently used items once their daughters are through wearing them.

#4)  Sales and Coupons are one of my favorite ways to shop!  Stores often have online sales with no or minimal shipping.  Plus if you’re lucky, you can find a coupon to stack against your sale prices.  Or, if you are in store, head to the sale rack and see what you can find.

#5)  Make sure the clothes you buy are comfortable.  If your child is uncomfortable in their clothing, chances are they will not want to wear them and you’ve wasted money on that purchase.  This 2-in-1 reversible dress is made of 100% cotton so it is soft and comfortable, making it the perfect dress for your child.

#6)  Purchase items that match with one another.  If you buy a skirt, purchase 2 or 3 tops that your child can wear with that skirt to make a new and different outfit.  If your child is anything like mine, they can get bored easily with their clothes and don’t want to be seen in the same thing day after day.

dont be afraid of the 'thrift store' consignment, second hand, goodwill - whatever it's called in your community ... people sometimes seem terrified to shop at places like these... i personally LOVE them - the products are donated my people like you and me ... and the proceeds go to charity :) whats not to love?
