Christmas Traditions – Yay or Nay? #SearsWishBook

Usually when it comes to the traditions you either love them or are not so fond of them.  Often, the traditions you grew up with as a child have a way of shaping the way you do things in your own home.  Whether it is baking cookies or making fun Christmas crafts, like this Santa Handprint Craft or Christmas Tree Button Art, which traditions stick out in your mind?  I remember a couple of traditions that seemed to happen year after year at Christmas.

Christmas Traditions with Sears

Every Christmas Eve, our Church would host a Sunday School Christmas program where the children of the Church would preform a play or sing songs.  Every year after the Christmas service, they would hand out “tootcha” (or goodie) bags filled with peanuts, chocolates and of course an orange.  We would be allowed to stay up later that night and snack on our baggies when we got home.

Another tradition was opening our gifts after Church on Christmas morning.  We were always excited to see which gifts from our wish list had made it under the tree.  Of course, before opening our gifts, we needed to make up our lists, many weeks in advance.  That’s where the Sears Wishbook came in.

Sears Wishbook

I remember spending hours paging through the toy sections of the Sears Wishbook circling the items I wanted to top my list.  That tradition is one that I have passed down to my kids.  They love looking through the Wishbook just like I did as a child dreaming of gifts they would love to receive.

Sears has many great options in their annual Wishbook if you are looking for that PERFECT gift!  Check out these 5 great gift options all under $25:
